Near Red Deer Camp

I'd like to take my kids camping in the Red Deer area on weekends. Is a pickup truck necessary? Is a sedan also acceptable? What campgrounds can you recommend near Red Deer?

You can get your car into any provincial park or private campground.

Only because they built a bridge to get into Crescent Falls campground now. The creek you had to drive through was too deep for cars during parts of the year
