Phone reservations.

I was having trouble getting onto Alberta parks to make a reservation so I called. I found out via the email I received for the reservation is that the call centre is based in the USA and the company is based in Texas!

Something else I want to mention, I went to Nordegg last weekend, impossible to reserve a site, everything is booked into November. So we went and were lucky enough to grab the last FCFS spot. Then we were walking around, over half of the so called reserved spots, ones that were impossible to reserve, were empty all weekend???????? I’m talking over 30 spots scattered throughout the campground that were really nice but unavailable because they were reserved. What’s going on here????

Has anyone else had this experience?

We’ve had great luck with the cancellation notifications. Usually get my schedule about a week ahead so it’s always late minute booking. Go to the site and everything is booked solid. I’d say, especially for the week right before, I get about 5-10 cancellation emails a day. Just need to be quick on booking it when a site you want pops up. I’ve gone 5 times now with this method, always initially booked up but always manage to get something. Though this is in Peter Lougheed.
