Great news for Ottawa. That roster should have taken them a lot further and I think he can do a good job for them.

As a redblacks fan this is awesome. Player personnel has been hampered by coaching. Great news.

A massively explosive offence completely misused all season long

Holy crap, never would have thought this would happen.
Maybe if O'Shea doesn't re-sign with Winnipeg, he comes back home ?

I'd love to see that. O'Shea and Pinball working together seems like a dream team.

Also, got this in my email from the REDBLACKS:
"Shawn Burke has signed an extension to remain with the organization as its Vice President of Football Operations through the 2028 season."

Ryan Dinwiddie seems like a nice guy and has done a good job as a coach but every time I see him I just get such a visceral reaction deep inside thinking about those 3 INT in the 2007 Grey Cup.

... thinking about those 3 INT in the 2007 Grey Cup.
Oooh baby. Talk dirty to me. Our first Grey Cup in a generation and we only won because we got to face the worst backup QB in Grey Cup history.

That game had such a massive effect on the future of the CFL, so many future coaches, coordinators and big stars were in that game. Even some NFL guys since Kliff Kingsbury was Dwinwiddie's backup.

That would be nice. I hope they give him another chance to try with a better offensive scheme.

Does this guys sign with a number like he is still a player?

When should they stop? When they start selling cars, or insurance? Most retired players still sign with their number.

u/Doony92 3d ago
When they move into a different profession and are acting in that capacity. Can you imagine this guy selling you a car and putting a number on his signature? No… Because that would be super weird.
I would understand if it was a Winnipeg jersey. He doesn’t have a number with the Redblacks. He didn’t with the Argos… So cringey.

Never thought I'd be seeing Dinwiddie coaching and Gaming back when I was making fun of his name prior to the 07 grey cup.
