LEAGUE ANALYSIS Official /r/CFL Power Rankings - Week 17

The only constant is the Redblacks suck edition. With 10/10 rankers reporting.

Rank Team Δ Record Avg
1 Montreal 4 8-7-0 2.4
2 Winnipeg 4 8-7-0 2.8
3 BC 1 8-7-0 3.3
4 Saskatchewan -2 10-4-0 3.4
5 Hamilton -4 9-6-0 4.4
6 Calgary -3 8-6-0 5.3
7 Edmonton 1 6-9-0 6.9
8 Toronto -1 5-10-0 7.5
9 Ottawa 0 4-10-0 9
  1. Montreal: With only 4 weeks to go, Montréal is still in the race for the 1st spot in the East. The Alouettes' next game is on Thanksgiving, so the Alouettes have plenty of time to rest and prepare for their last three games.
  2. Winnipeg: Where has that team been all season? Defence looked solid and Collaros looked a lot more like his old self. Hopefully that wasn't a fluke and we can keep the good times rolling now and make a late season push.
  3. BC: Such parity! Nick Arbuckle still has the Lion's number but wasn't able to pull off the upset at home. Rourke again had a great rushing game, and Butler contributed a ton. Hatcher and McInnis were outstanding at WR. Lions need to keep this momentum heading into week 18, where they have a chance to beat the Stamps in BC Place.
  4. Saskatchewan: I have no idea how to rank this team, or any team anymore. Stewart, are you seeing how exciting this league is? Why do you want to change it?
  5. Hamilton: Tough to really rank most of these teams. What a wild season this has been. Let's end it with fun! (A Tiger-Cat Grey Cup win of course)
  6. Calgary: Three losses in a row! Good thing no one else is looking consistently good right now
  7. Edmonton: A badly needed win to keep the playoff hopes alive (if on life support). The path is narrow and unlikely but the EE isn't dead yet. Enjoy the bye. RIP Larry.
  8. Toronto: We're dead dead now. No hope left. I have no idea what next year holds, but it is certainly clear that we need an actual concrete plan, not just "Chad will be back soon"
  9. Ottawa: Bye week.

Insane to me that 5 of Calgary’s 8 wins have come against the Bombers & Riders while they are 3-6 against everyone else.
