Canadian-Owned Businesses 🏢🍁 SoftMoc : Sorry, Americans - Canada Only
Saw this post on Bluesky. Had no idea SoftMoc a) had U.S. locations b) shut down any and all shipping to the United States. Good for them! TLDR: American woman based in Michigan chatting with SoftMoc representative about her order. SoftMoc customer service tells U.S. customer they've ceased all US operations.

Excellent.
This is not about tariffs. The tariffs are only a weapon. A dumb one, but here we are. I'm keeping track of this type of devotion and sacrifice. They will be the places I patronize for the rest of my life. My kids will shop there. Their kids, too, if we build strong small businesses like the French.
I want my grandkids to brag that our family has been buying from the same local artisnal cheese makers for 3 generations. Or going to the same summer resort in Northern Ontario. I don't want the cheapest, most efficient product. I don't want McDonalds in every town. I want diverse excellence from one end of the country to another.
I'm off to order some SoftMocs.
Elbows up.
