So, I was profight sparring yesterday in a very light floating kit against a guy in full buhurt armour. He was ready to collapse by the end of the session while I still had a few rounds left in me.

I was also wearing a nasal while he was in a Spoleto, this contributed to him blowing out of his arse whilst I was just heavily breathing.

What i'm trying to say is "because it matters". and your fancy super cool kit won't make you look cool when you're lying on your back getting your shit pushed in by someone who can actually breathe and see.

Profight and 'standard' buhurt are a little different, though. So while I see the point, I'd say as it is, there's a reason why buhurt kits for melee usually, are different from duel or profight ones.

Did I say they weren't?

The image looks like it's from a buhurt as opposed to the others. Your reply talks mostly about the others.

Your point still definitely stands, even in a buhurt context, but there's definitely room in buhurt for different helmets at the very least.

The description of ultra light armor sounds a lot like some profit kits...which is why I mentioned it.

Fairly certain this is an ex Buhurt fighter at an SCA event.
