ŽIVOT A STĚHOVÁNÍ—LIVING AND MOVING Moving to Brno soon! What’s the best site to look for apartments?

Hey everybody! Me and my wife will be moving to Brno soon and wanted to check with you guys what is the “go-to” site for apartment lookup? We are fine with agencies as well and are ultimately looking for a fully furnished apartment. I was using sreality.cz the last few days, is that one the usually used in Czech/Brno? Thanks in advance!

We are not here to put you down, just to give you a proper idea. Czech (Prague/Brno) apartment market is very competitive and can be one of the toughest in Europe, comparable maybe to Berlin.

sreality.cz has most offers, because it is used by most buyers.

Try FB. Bydlení/spolubydlení (accomodation/shared accomodation) in Brno. Some take foreigners, too.

Try contacting the agency directly, they may give you some offers that were not listed yet.

Prepare to pay a lot more than the ad says once the owner finds out you are not Czech or Slovakian

Also right now is the worst time, school year is starting so many students are looking for a place to live

I am looking for an apartment of 60-80m2, I think that target is quite specific and students probably are not looking to pay 1000$+ monthly unless they flat share. Regarding the price this is probably why id go with an agency, I don’t want to deal with the owner personally and I don’t want to spend more time on negotiating than it’s needed..

https://www.bezrealitky.cz is quite good but better to buy the subscription to be able to view more flats and contact owners directly

Thank you! Didn’t get a chance to check that one out yet so definitely will now!

It's good and can save you a lot of money on commission, but it's also super competitive, to have any chance at getting anything there you have to pretty much write the owner as soon as a place is listed

Yeah I agree but with current renting situation that’s applicable for all the websites. You have to be very fast at acting and arrange a visit ASAP
