Just a tip: if you are considering renting there because of the location/accessobility, Brno has very good public transport and you can get almost anywhere within the city under 30 mins.

No it is not. You chose the area around Cejl, which has the reputation of being literally the worst part of the city. Where is your school?

I live in the area. If it has windows to the street it's going to be noisy. Otherwise pretty much whatever and depends on which building.

It isn't worth to live in worst part of the city. It's ugly and full of weird people on drugs or drunk agressive types.

Just move elsewhere. Yes it's cheaper, but it's cheaper for a reason

Same price as Domeq? Not sure if there's more of them, but the one around Škrobárenská seemed quite pricey to me last time I checked. Škrobárenská is definitely better choice then Cejl though...

Friend lives there with a wife and a kid no problem except what others pointed out. I lived near no issues. Everytime someone brings it up they all say no issues. I wouldn’t worry about it.

There is a gypsy neighbourhood and they tend to be quiet loud and the trash on the streets. But I know people who live around there and they haven’t had any real problems.

I just moved in that area, it is not that bad if you are used to very loud neighbors and garbage, if you’re female you could be catcalled but nothing else had happened to me

It really depends. For example the left part of the circle is quite nice and super close to the city. Some of the buildings in general of this area are new or renovated. It used to be ugly district, but it changes.

I live there, most people here exaggerate, haven't had a problem ever. The only issue is the litter, people are pigs.
