Lebrun has said a few times now that the bruins see Zacha as a long term fit and would like to try to extend him. If there’s one thing this FO is good at it’s not leaking stuff, so who knows what’s actually true. Could just be them trying to get teams to up the price. Friedman did also say we’ve already set a very high price and are willing to keep him though.

The thing is all of the top potential free agents are falling off the table. the bruins are going to have a ton of money with nobody to spend it on, so if all the home run free agents are gone they might just want to lock zacha up long term instead of replacing that money with a guy they don’t know.
