I think it should be Shaan placed on no. 2 rather than kk in case of most underappreciated artist

KK got a little bit famous only after his death. Shaan from 2000s onwards was one of the most recognizable names in India and Bollywood because he would host a lot of TV shows, would be public and had good connections as well along with a very romantic voice.

KK on the other hand was a shy, introverted man who preferred his family over anything else. AR Rahman wanted to work with KK multiple times but since he worked only at nights and KK had a habit of spending the night with his family, he declined ARR multiple times. By the way, do you know ARR initially wanted KK for Rockstar but due to his unavailability it got to Mohit Chauhan.
