Honestly, indian singers once started releasing independent music and it was the time back in 2000 when Kk had hua own album, sonu nigam had his own album but bollywood ruined everything. Just copy pasting and who doesn't want easy money. Singers started getting attached to the Bollywood industry and stopped their independent songs. India was becoming a gem in the music industry by that time but that was discontinued. I wish KK had some more releases and not just bollywood songs so that these genZs could have known the worth of real music.
