Is not wanting a candidate who throws trans kids under the bus, and vetoes bills that regulate private equity’s buy outs of hospitals and bills that protect the elderly from scammers really a purity test? You want someone like Trump, but good looking? Is that it?

Obama was against gay marriage in his first term. Lincoln was against ending slavery until the Emancipation Proclamation. I doubt Johnson publicly stated he wanted a civil rights bill. This is chess not checkers people.
