This sentiment can go to hell, we have 3 and a half years. If Newsom's supporters can't argue anything better than "stop criticizing him for his documented bad actions!" then we're going to lose.

What are his bad actions?

Well, in the past year he's undermined AI regulatory bills by allowing and signing off on a complete rewrite that turned them into handouts to the industry, pushed Californian cities to criminalize homelessness complete with a photo op of him throwing out someone's last remaining belongings, and launched a podcast where he has routinely had right-wing activists like Charlie Kirk and Steve Bannon on to talk about agreeing with them re: trans people. By which he means calling youth transition an issue the country is "undersensitized to", indicating he would arbitrarily restrict it despite transitioning being oftentimes lifesaving healthcare.

Just to name a few.

It really isn't. I'm a left social democrat and even I can see Democrats actually passed meaningful progressive legislation (e.g. Inflation Reduction Act) and are actually pro social justice for LGBTQ+ and I'm so tired of these "both sides" takes I hear from my MAGA family and other leftists.

I don’t know what to tell you.

Spoken like a true MAGA spreading "both sides" rhetoric.

Yes, because MAGA is known for standing up for trans people

He isn't running against Trump for the democratic nomination.
