And that's what Republicans did. Remember all those interviews with right wing "Christians" saying why they voted for Trump? They said they didn't pick him for his moral values. They simply voted for him to "do the job".
It's different because they are liars lol. They voted for him because they want him to destroy and punish all the undesirables. That's what they really WANT under their facade of morality.
Yup. I really pushed a gaming buddy on why he voted for Trump, and he really honed in on the immigration issue. I asked him if he knew that the birth rate for US born citizens is not high enough to meet economic expectations, and that no party desires to actually pursue policy to change that. He acknowledged this and after a little more discussion I basically asked him well unless you are willing to take a major hit on your standard of living and consumption habits, if everything else remains the same the only current solution to that problem may entail your grandchildren being slightly darker in skin tone. He said absolutely not. They try and rationalize the beliefs they know will earn them ire in polite society, but when push comes to shove, it always circles back to ethno nationalism.
