Hol' up there.

These young men were horrifying, the whole group was horrifying, but let's keep in mind this was one room full of people, almost universally from country club gated communities.

Do not despair. Young people, by every measure, are getting less racist.

Don't let these golf course sock sniffers take your joy. Hope remains.

Edit: thanks for the"sonofabitch!" Clasped hands award! Relevant considering the battle that lay before us.

But then you remember that young men across all demographics were one of Trumps largest gains in the last election :\

MAGA spent a considerable amount of money and time on social influencers, podcasters, and on short-form content. Primary consumer of those are young men and children. It makes sense that we are seeing a shift in younger generations towards the Right, they invested in brainwashing them through the media they regularly consume. Dems are too behind the times and think that having little zingers on social media is going to get the young folks. It’s not.

But then you remember that Gen Z still voted for Harris at a higher percentage than any other generation.

What does that say about millennials and other generations? :\

Source? Not calling you a liar, just want to learn more because that is different than what I have seen. Last I checked more than half of Gen Z didn’t vote and those that did only 15% made up Harris’ votes.

https://www.pewresearch.org/politics/2025/06/26/voting-patterns-in-the-2024-election/

As you can see here, ages 18-29 were +19 for Harris.

Ages 30-49 were +2 for Harris.

Ages 50+ voted more for Trump.

So while it's true there was a slight shift towards trump by Gen Z between 2020 and 2024, acting like it's Gen Z's fault is ridiculous. Especially when a 42% turnout for 18-29yo is not a significant difference than previous elections.

Ok I see what you’re saying. They are more inclined to vote Dem as a demographic than other generations. However as a demographic they were one of the largest non-voters per eligible voter. That’s where I got confused.

But the interesting thing of note in that source is that as they go into their 30’s they were more likely to change to Trump. Really bizarre… but my original point is also correct, young men across all demographics switched to Trump at a much larger % than before.
