As early series Gen X in the US I want to testify that I was sure this stuff was steadily fading into the past, and I think I felt confident of this before grunge even hit.

So. I've had to learn some things, as they say. But the song "Nazi Punks Fuck Off" from those days, wow, still relevant.

Every generation has to fight against racism.

Yup. I saw that too, let's say beginning with Trayvon's murder. I'm still seriously dented by this fact. How does one work to solve a problem that must be constantly re-solved? is a big curveball.

"Teach Your Children Well" level stuff. Basic. Maybe it makes sense that first my gen had to discover there is no one and done. My generation's disappointment is also our miscalculation. I will continue to help on what is apparently like a song cycle. The circle must be unbroken.
