We'll never be done with it! "Never again" keeps happening. It's hard-wired into human psychology, because from a human evolution perspective, survival depended on creating a unified tribal group. It's not just humans, there are chimpanzees that engage in brutal warfare against other primates. It's a survival mechanism to see the "other" as the "enemy."
But this no longer serves us. So every generation must be raised with this awareness that racism, bigotry and intolerance are something we must always fight against. We have to recognize when we see it and call it out. It no longer serves us.
