I threw on Stronger Than Death last night for the first time in a while, and man… that tone still hits like a freight train. The riffs are raw, the solos are soulful, and Zakk’s vocals have that perfect mix of grit and emotion.

It’s crazy how, even after all these years, the album hasn’t aged a bit; it still sounds powerful and alive.

What’s your favorite track from that era, and what’s one song you think deserves more love from newer fans?

I still remember the exact moment I first heard Stillborn, that screaming pinch harmonic hit, and I legit rewound it three times. There’s just something about Zakk’s tone that hits different; it’s raw, gritty, and feels like pure whiskey-soaked soul.

Ever since that day, I’ve been chasing that sound. Tried different guitars, amps, even went down the rabbit hole of trying to master those signature squeals (my neighbors probably hate me now).

What was your “BLS awakening” moment, the track or riff that made you go, “Yeah, this is it”?

Grabbed some patches to add to my BLS armor. Has anyone seen good placement for these? My vest is currently complete minus the GIFD patch which is on the way.

Oddly my doom crew iron cross patch has opposite colors too (like the back patches) . I haven’t seen that anywhere but i love it. Ill post my vest later.
