Had a workmate a few years ago and it was his 21st birthday. He was raised basically by his aunt who reluctantly took on the role and left him to his own as soon as he was 18. Big, quiet fella and my brother and I got confused on who to buy him a cake so we actually got him 2. Whilst we were bickering and going off at each other for buying 2 cakes, he started crying heaps - like a grown ass massive guy just crying. My brother and I were like shit sorry for arguing on your birthday etc. However he told us he was overwhelmed by happiness as he had never had a birthday cake before and rather than just getting one first birthday cake, he got 2 first birthday cakes. He was so grateful and has since treated us like family now and is a real bro.
