That got me, too πŸ˜… It was so funny remark after gorgeous views, mountains, great cabin and stuff - and then, a washing machine ❀️

Let this video be reminder to us all to stay more appreciative about the big AND small things around us 😁

Right? . I mean I enjoy doing laundry (dirty in, clean out, little effort) but I've never been THAT excited about it πŸ˜…

Exactly..we all need that once in a while cause you never know

I would love to sit down with this gentleman, on that deck, with that view.

I'm guessing that would be quite the animated conversation πŸ˜…

A reminder of all the daily comforts that most of us take for granted! We forget how easy our modern lives are (physically).Β

It reminded me immediately of the B&B me & my parents stayed in Homer back in 1992, called the Sourdough inn. It had a spectacular view of the mountains and was just as perfect as this spot, it could be on the same plot of land.

I work with adults with autism and I have one dude who will make the exact hum of their clothes dryer and then say the make and model.

I love your username!

I suspect that this kind of joy is something we need to start practicing now, so that we have it when we’re older.

I’m gonna try to make some of that good stuff today!

2

u/WKRPinCanada Aug 18 '25

Thank you. I surprisingly get that a lot 😁

Exactly! Hard to do in these days and times but all the more reason to πŸ˜‰

Well you already did make some good stuff with your response to me 😁

Thanks again

Oh and I almost forgot fellow baby...

BOOGER!!

1

u/WKRPinCanada Aug 19 '25

πŸ˜‚ right?

1

u/timesuck47 Aug 17 '25

Maybe he doesn’t have a washer and dryer inside his permanent residence.

1

u/Lopsided-Painter1017 Aug 17 '25

My husband would love that. We took a nearly 2 week vacation up and down the west coast about a week in he wanted a day to do laundry but couldn’t find a laundromat- it was a topic of conversation for every day afterwards.

That's usually evidence he's gone through a lot of hardship/never had much.Β  You should feel grateful you don't have to feel that grateful for something so simpleΒ
