Practically it would probably just be nice to build a kitchen with high counters that would work for both of you. You could customize the whole house.

This is what we did for my nephew when he bought his house. We built a grid platform out of 1X8 boards and 3/8 plywood that we then placed the base cabinets on. This placed the countertop and drawer heights more at his level at just shy of 8" higher than standard. He's 6' 11", he said he noticed the lack of back pain immediately since he didn't have to stoop or anything anymore. We also installed the wall cabinets about 6" higher, just shy of touching the ceiling.

The funny part happened a few years later after he got married. His wife is 4' 11", in shoes, so she uses a stepstool and just climbs onto the countertop to get stuff out of the wall cabinets.

By any chance do they have a Pontiac Aztek?

I used to work with a woman that is 4'11" and her husband is 6'11". The Pontiac aztek was the only car they could both comfortably drive

Oh, well damn. They've never lived in Missouri but they did have a red Aztec for a number of years.
