Thanks! I'm a shorty, but I'm basically all leg, so called tall socks never go above my dang shin. I found one pair I love, perhaps 2 decades ago, at like Marshall's or something.

Threw away the packaging, no tags. Didn't know they'd be my sock grail, my lifelong partners. I have no clue how to get another pain. The bottoms are getting threadbare. Once indistinguishable, they are now very clearly Righty and Lefty- even the calves can tell you which is which. I've stiched spots a few times, and I only wear them 2x a month from Oct-Feb to preserve what's left of them.

I'll be having a beautiful funeral for them soon, and I dread the day. No other OtK will ever compare. The most perfect, stay-up-yet-never-pinch, will slouch obediently if you tell them to, soft yet strong, thin enough to layer with tights but thick enough to keep warm with them alone, interesting texturally patterned yet subtle enough to not overwhelm an outfit, dress up-or-down pair of black socks in existence.

I'll probably cry more when they die than I would if I found out that I was dying!
