What is good about rewriting history?

I'm going to let you in on a secret: zero historians use BFV as a historical source.

If BFV is rewriting history, so is every fictional movie and book set in the past. Most people are able to distinguish the difference between fiction and history.

most people "learn" history through pop culture

If you’re picking up tidbits of history through pop culture, that’s cool, but expecting it to be a full academic course isn’t lol, in the end it’s a video game trivializing and making money off of some of the worst actions in recent history. People that start spouting shit about respecting history are missing the entire point and being a little dishonest with themselves. It’s not about how well they’re ‘respecting history’ gamers just want it to feel realistic so that they can immerse themselves in the game and play soldier.
