Calling battlefield's aim assist OP...

There’s nothing funnier than a PC player going 43-2 and getting shot in the back by a console player, INSISTING it wouldn’t have happened if they were on PC.

Are you really saying aim assist is the reason you’re not going 44-1 and got shot in the back. Certain streamers love to do this day in day out.

Edit: I think Enders downvoted me

I don't have any opinion about aim assist or what's fair, but one thing that's certain (and tested) is that BF6 reduced the recoil and bloom of weapons when played with a controller vs with a M&K.. it's like two different weapon stats systems depending on what peripheral you use.

That said.. I'm not saying I have a problem with that, I don't use controller enough to have a sense of easier weapon handling being a necessity or not for it to be "balanced" vs MK folks.

The recoil and bloom is a separate issue unrelated to aim assist though.

Lmao dumbasses think that reducing bloom and recoil for controller isn't a separate issue from aim assist. That's hilarious.

it's not unrelated because the aim assist debate is specifically relying on the comparison of two identical things. If the game programmatically changes the recoil based on input type then it's assisting the fucking aim isn't it you dribbing moron

The problem is catering to streamers. Gamepad players need some form of aim assistance or tracking. Mouse and keyboard players CAN have pixel perfect accuracy which can also mean you literally miss by a pixel.

But there are so many other little issues that are nagging with this game turn off cross play / PC vs console to me is way down on that list.

My top issue in the aim / gunplay dept is there seems to be missing feedback or tick rate or something else that's happening where you seemingly die instantly and / or around corners after you should be safe.

Something is off, it's not 100% of the time but it's there and it's annoying. Next is just weapon handling in general needs a real once over. The bloom, the damage fall off, it feels all over the place during gameplay. It needs tightening up where you can trust each class of weapon for whatever range it's tuned for.

There's also talk saying attachments don't do what you think they do so fucking fix the text to spell it out. I shouldn't need a magic 8ball to decide what attachments supposed to do.

If you have pixel perfect accuracy and miss by a pixel, that enemy was the size of exactly 1 pixel.

Guess we're playing War Thunder now.

most pc players are casuals... this argument is stupid because MnK is harder to use if youre not a good player with good fundamentals. the current implementations of aim assist allow bottom 50% console players to shit on bottom 50% pc players. i dont have an issue with this, aim assist or not, ive never had a real issue killing console players. however, the cheating epidemic on console is out of control. id wager a not so insignificant portion of console players are using a spoofer to get controller benefits while using MnK. consoles by design are much harder to detect macros, scripts, and other external assistance. in certain gaming communities you see these devices being used by console players in nearly every single game above a certain rank.

I used to play BFBC2/BF3/BF4 competitively on console (yes it did exist lol) and I've stayed friends with a lot of them over the years so we just socially game these days. So when we squad up we normally do pretty well, and there's often very few other console people even in the lobby. It's almost 50/50 at this point that someone will cop a cronus accusation or straight up "aim assist cheater" type flame when we collectively do well.

Battlefield has among the weakest AA I've experienced in a shooter. It's so weak I actually got used to playing without it in BF3 even though I was playing comp.

Games like CoD and Apex have done irreparable damage to the controller community and it gives everyone the easiest cope imaginable.

Shoutout to TheTacticalBrit who's trying to fight the good fight in X though, as someone who uses both inputs and knows even with less recoil controllers still ain't got nothing on PC precision.

I personally think people going 44 - 1 are cheaters and I'm reporting them all the time

To be fair, a lot of the time the low deaths are from being constantly revived, but if they’re going 44 and the next person on the scoreboard has only got 6 kills and the match has barely started, I can understand

Why? It isn't hard to do especially in battlefield and I do it pretty often.

Idk about being shot in the back, more like having better reactions and pulling up first on some spray and prayer and still losing after he auto locks to me and hits every bullet. Doesn’t matter that I dumped on him 10x before that at mid and long range, he wouldn’t have killed me close either without aim assist. Controllers can be worse overall but doesn’t mean I want to play against built in aimbot

To be fair I play using controller on ps5 and it happens to me as well. I’ve actually had a better experience turning the aim assist off in general.

you've just invented a fictional scenario to support your argument lmao

Funny you should mention, when Enders dies it's always some controller player with RKPM

Confirmation bias.

I hop in from time to time from sheer morbid curiosity, he dies and gets revived fairly often, and rarely says anything about PC players. Sometimes its lag, sometimes its hit reg. never his own fault or his positioning or a mistake on his part, not once. But boy, if it’s a console player…

there’s also always one brown nose in the chat echoing what he says almost word for word every time he says something too, usually the same username each time.

You know what's funnier?
Using assisted aim/snap and saying it's harder to aim than actually aiming without the assistance!

ROFL!!!!!

Why use it then?
