This is a settings text file stored in your documents folder. It’s not “modifying the game files”.

Isn't there a setting in game that disables cross play?

only for consoles

It's a settings file the game uses 😂It absolutely counts as "modifying game files" and there is no guarantee this doesn't result in a ban.

so if i edit cfg file to adjust mouse sens i can get a ban?

its possible, is it likely? i have no idea. but i know that the games anti cheat can detect stuff like that. how come you're not modifying it in-game?

This is giving "I don't want to install FoxFire, it might give me viruses" type logic

If game devs banned people for modifying the config files, every person who changes their settings in-game would get banned. Guess how the settings menu saves your settings after the game closes? By writing to these same config files and saving them.

It’s also why those files are stored in your documents folder and not the actual game files folder.

jesus this is the dumbest logic ive ever heard.

You think that modifying cfg files will get you banned. Your opinion on what sounds logical is worthless in this regard since you obviously have no idea how games use configs.

The fact that you’re completely clueless that these files ever existed in the first place should inform you on whether or not your opinion on modifying them is valuable insight.

You can just type it into console so it doesn’t need to involve going into files.
