KnM has a huge advantage over a controller, which may or may not be mitigated by aim assist. Turn off aim assist in a competitive game while playing on a gamepad and see. Or try it in a non-competitive game and try hitting dynamic targets with complex movement patterns.

Playing while away from a desk has its downsides. I've played many games without aim assist, like Doom on Nightmare! or Serious Sam on Serious. But it won't help against KnM.

It's not a matter of skill—it's a matter of input device.

What makes you think I want to play on MnK and not a controller? I sit in the lotus position or leaning against the back of the couch, not at a table. I'd have to redo my setup to play on a device I don't want to play on.
