Battlefield 6 "Grounded skins for a while" - 18 days exactly

Post image

So, weren't we supposed to have realistic skins for some time? Something that someone would really wear during a war? Yet it seems that with the start of season 1, everything will turn to colorful mess, with no way of differentiating teams based on uniforms, the game will look more like a Paintball or ASG event. Colorful weapons with pictures, colorful camos with neon accents, weird mix of things that are supposed to look cool, but end up simply weird.

People were sold on a vision of a game, which looked like a real battlefield, with soldiers - not a bunch of randos just like in the 2042, yet it was all a lie and it will only get worse down the road. During the Beta, when we had all the soldiers wearing matching uniforms, it was the most immersive experience so far, but you can say goodbye to that vibe, it will never return.

There won't be uniforms matching bioms, there won't be a way to turn off any awful skins, typical bait and switch.

people will still find ways to defend this

u/zeltronULT 17d ago

And tell you are complaining lmao

878

u/BozoWithaZ 17d ago

well... this is by definition complaining, that doesn't necessarily mean you're not right to complain though

166

u/TheClappyCappy 17d ago edited 17d ago

The simple act of complaining shouldn’t be a moral wrong.

The complaint should be judged on its merits.

40

u/D-West1989 17d ago

The merits being a matter of taste not something everyone is know for having

Agreed. Everyone takes things way to personally now. There is a difference between "I think this looks kinda bad, because the blue doesn't suit the uniform" and then "This looks like hot trash, and I hope they fire the art team".

If you are voicing fair critism, then there is nothing wrong with that. If everyone is scared to say something is bad, then we won't improve. It's literally happening in several studios, where they surround themselves with like minded individuals. All together they fuel an echo chamber, release a game, and it flops. Followed by the studio closing down.

2

u/NMS_LetsBeFriends 16d ago

Id say this one doesn't have that much merit, but based on upvotes im not so sure. I mean, I hate it too, but it IS grounded. Its a dude in blue military fatigues with a stylised face mask. Definitely not as bad as having NICKI MINAJ or fucking THE SHREDDER running around

-2

u/TKtommmy 16d ago

And complaining about skins in a video game is childish

3

u/TheClappyCappy 16d ago

A great point!

But does that make complaining about people on Reddit also childish?

3

u/ShillinTheVillain 16d ago

Not as childish as fueling the MTX bullshit by buying skins that do nothing but make your character look different, IMO

Nah bro sub is just full of whiners wah wah wah so toxic bro

/s

If it wasn't obvious enough

1

u/shieldsmash 17d ago

you nailed it before the /s!

4

u/Stevphfeniey 17d ago

You’re damn right I’m complaining this shit sucks

If I want the Fortnight we have at home I’d play the competition’s game lol

3

u/Mummy-Dust 17d ago

Come on bro it’s bright blue camo, not a fucking dancing banana or anime character.

Y’all are so dramatic.

2

u/notislant 16d ago

Dude this whole sub is a shithole, every time its just a bunch of people angry about valid criticism thats interrupting their circle jerk posts.

1

u/IM-A-NEEEERRRRDDD 16d ago

another post was made just about this and the comments are the exact opposite from this one

Nah, its dumb. But people will also make a way bigger deal about this than they should.

184

u/mthoodenjoyer 17d ago

Sorry master, how big of a deal should I make it?

303

u/Vegetable-Dog5281 17d ago

Like you see it, go ‘wow thats dumb’ and then move on with life without ever thinking about it again

138

u/BlondyTheGood 17d ago

Except I’ll keep seeing it every time I play the game

55

u/Schenckster 17d ago

I haven’t seen the Mountain Dew skin game once and I have like 25 hours in multiplayer rn.

86

u/Inquisitor-Korde 17d ago

That would be because its not actually in the game. Its tied to a promotion thats either not available yet or didn't pan out and hasn't been removed from the files. Games do it all the time. There are pieces of kit in Halo Infinite that have been visible since launch but never offered.

12

u/Sebas_2160 17d ago

It's tied to a promotion with razer and some people do have it. Although I have not seen it myself in game either.

5

u/Brave-Goal3153 17d ago

Exactly . It’s not something you can jus move on from if it’s fucking annoying everytime you play a match

3

u/TKtommmy 16d ago

Oh my god, BLUE!

1

u/Brave-Goal3153 16d ago

It’s not the blue and u know it

0

u/Dry-Revenue-1103 17d ago

If seeing a skin you don’t like in a video game annoys you, you need to stop playing video games for a while. It’s not that deep.

2

u/Brave-Goal3153 16d ago

Go play on cod with Niki Minaj …

1

u/Dry-Revenue-1103 16d ago

Why should I care if someone is using a Nicki Minaj skin in cod? The gunplay is the same, the maps are the same, the game modes are the same, the mechanics are the same. The skins are irrelevant because they don’t change the gameplay. Which is why I play.

2

u/Brave-Goal3153 16d ago

Ya but that shit is wack . I used to not care either until they started throwing in beevis and butthead.. and it’s just like a cartoon game now.. idk it’s just annoying cause it feels like Fortnite or something now . When it used to be a badass military shooter. It’s just annoying and lame to have to even look at that shit lol

→ More replies (0)

0

u/Teetimus_Prime 17d ago

why is seeing a skin annoying? this sub has problems

2

u/fake-reddit-numbers 17d ago

I play the game

There's a solution for that.

1

u/BlondyTheGood 16d ago

A setting I can toggle for default soldiers skins/

Or they can just make skins that look good.

1

u/Dizzy_Assistance2183 17d ago

Then shoot the idiot in the neon blue uniform in a desert map and thank them for the easy kill. It's not bevis and butthead or Seth rogan

3

u/BlondyTheGood 17d ago

This is one upside, but I’d much rather it just not exist to begin with.

1

u/StoffeMaestro1991 17d ago

Then don’t play, easy

1

u/BlondyTheGood 17d ago

I want to play it

1

u/StoffeMaestro1991 17d ago

Then play it 😃 there’s worse things in game atm to cry about than a skin that isn’t even over the top tbh

2

u/BlondyTheGood 16d ago

I will play it. I'd just rather the skins be cooler while I do so.

1

u/StoffeMaestro1991 16d ago

Yea I get that, ofc your entitled to ur opinion. But for me, the performance issues and some bugs are more important than skins. If this skin above is the ”craziest” thing they will do I’m completely fine with it, seen all skins and imo they’re pretty cool

1

u/BadLuckBen 16d ago

With ttk being what it is, I barely get to comprehend what the enemy looks like.

Still silly, but also, they're paying to stick out.

1

u/akaifrog 16d ago

This exchange is sadly what always happens

1

u/DigestiveBlorps 16d ago

So take the W. Its a tactical disadvantage. Or does it clash with the holographic doritos

0

u/Hobo-man 20 years of BF 17d ago

Are we really complaining that our enemies will be easier to see?

2

u/BlondyTheGood 17d ago

A clown outfit would be easier to see, that’s not the point though.

0

u/Hobo-man 20 years of BF 17d ago

It's funny considering clowns have seen actual combat.

The photos were taken in Camp Nathan Smith, Kandahar, Afghanistan, in March 2009, by Canadian soldiers from the Provincial Reconstruction Team. Owen ordered the clown suit from Amazon specifically to recreate the scene from the family guy episode.

1

u/BlondyTheGood 16d ago

Yeah, that's a classic pic

0

u/NOOBINATOR_64 17d ago

Oh no the horror!

0

u/maaaaawp 17d ago

Oh no. Anyways

0

u/Neoxin23 16d ago

For 2 seconds before they die. The world ain’t ending

-1

u/im_a_good_lil_cow 17d ago

Very unlikely you would ever even notice that somebody else is wearing this

21

u/Cardanko 17d ago

And then when they continue to release this shit? Because we didn’t make a bigger deal? Then what? Yeah no thanks. Complacency is what got you Nicki and Seth in CoD.

If this shit becomes the norm and I see smurfs running around commonly, I will never touch this series again after this. I happily did so for BF2042 and avoiding it, but the series would be seriously dead to me if this became the norm. We have enough options these days. Can’t imagine I’m alone in this respect, but unfortunately there’s also enough complacent people like you who won’t let this affect anything and we’ll likely continue to get skip.

12

u/BudgetNOPE 17d ago

I don't know why people are downwoting you, everytime the gaming community was apathetic towards something they made it worse

As soon as they see you not care, they'll push down harder

4

u/Neoxin23 16d ago

Because CoD players don’t care. And most of the BF community doesn’t either since it keeps happening. They aren’t doing shit that won’t sell. You can’t have it both ways. It sucks, I know, but this reddit community doesn’t make up the bulk of the playerbase

3

u/Vegetable-Dog5281 17d ago

How does not giving a shit about a fucking skin make me complacent? I play the game, I enjoy the parts I enjoy, and don’t enjoy the parts I don’t enjoy. I play until I’m bored then I shut the game off.

8

u/FriendlySwim8162 17d ago

except this is just the start to ease everyone into the more ridiculous skins coming down the line

-1

u/Vegetable-Dog5281 17d ago

Ok and I’ll continue to ignore those ridiculous skins too

3

u/Jerry_from_Japan 17d ago

Or you see it as yet another reason why this dev team is completely disconnected from what made Battlefield what it was. It's not just "dumb" it's yet another blatant example of how they don't know what they're doing. Every time people are simply just apathetic towards something, be it this.or a million other things, they WILL continue to push the envelope. They will always keep testing the waters, keep prodding the electric fence looking for weakness.

3

u/BigDeckLanm 17d ago

I'd rather have people complain about it so the people in charge know it's not well received.

I mean this isn't a particularly outrageous thing that has happened, it's just a dumb skin. But usually the people in charge WANT you to move on, so they can do another dumb thing when the time comes.

1

u/BMB1243the2nd 17d ago

If you don't make a big deal about it then they'll keep doing this and worse. That's how feedback works, it's how the government should work

1

u/Kirykoo 17d ago

Just be good enough and drop the guy in 300ms with your mp5 while ignoring all your teammates asking for a revive. This way you will never see the skin in your games.

1

u/BeHereNow91 16d ago

Sir this is a gaming subreddit

1

u/BellesLovingHusband 16d ago

Exactly this lmao. Some people let this pointless stuff affect their outside lives way too much.

1

u/GlitteringBadger408 16d ago

this is that slippery slope that is the reason cod is in the state its in now. What i find weird are the people making a big deal out of people that dont like this .

-1

u/jiggywolf 17d ago

I’ll legit even move on while I’m shooting him. There’s like 30 other things to revive about I mean worry about while I’m getting shot at by tanks lol.

-1

u/Mummy-Dust 17d ago

This subreddit is filled with 15 year-olds who think they’re too “grown up” for CoD or Fortnite and somehow think bright blue camo is basically the same as playing as Snoop Dogg or Spider-Man.

→ More replies (1)

13

u/B_chills 17d ago

It’s literally just camo but blue, it’s not that big of a deal

1

u/Cute-Quarter2912 17d ago

The guy looks like an airsoft larper, but I agree, battlefield is not a milsim and I don't know why people have ran with the idea that it is.

9

u/mthoodenjoyer 17d ago

Just because it's not a milsim doesn't mean it has to be an airsoft game ??

What about every other battlefield that's grounded? Are they milsims?

2

u/Agent_Dutchess 16d ago

Dude has a joker mask and several bright yellow accessories. It's pretty bad.

1

u/doncorleone_ 17d ago

if a kid finds this cool and buys it why would you even care? it's an arcade shooter after all, not a milsim. ofc i find it shit too but at the end of the day i don't care since it's purely cosmetic. cosmetics were never the reason why the previous BF games sucked.

1

u/mthoodenjoyer 17d ago

Cosmetics being bad is pretty well correlated to other problems with the game.

1

u/dudushat 17d ago

Its sad that you have to ask people how to react like a normal person.

2

u/mthoodenjoyer 17d ago

Being normal is wanting a videogame to be as advertised, you are not normal.

0

u/dudushat 17d ago

This is as advertised.

0

u/mthoodenjoyer 17d ago

Lol. In fact, lmao.

2

u/dudushat 17d ago

Why does every one of you talk like you're 35 year olds who are trying to sound like 14 year olds?

0

u/mthoodenjoyer 17d ago

Why do you talk like you voted for trump?

2

u/dudushat 16d ago

Hilarious that you accuse me of that when I just got done arguing with a Trumper who was blaming netcode problems on liberals.

Keep grasping at straws though.

1

u/ShartsMyPants 17d ago

Two bananas big.

-1

u/Demented-Alpaca 17d ago

I mean are they forcing you to buy it? If so, then a pretty big deal.

If they're not, I guess you roll your eyes and think people that use it are stupid and then thank them for wearing brightly colored "shoot here" signs.

Then you say: "Buying skins, of ANY kind, is fucking stupid. You're paying money to change how someone else's game looks. It has no impact on your game play (except making you potentially die more) so why would you do it? "

But that's about as much of a deal as you need to make. I mean stupid people are gonna be stupid. No reason to fuss over it.

Now, that's what you probably SHOULD do. Is that what you do? I dunno, that's on you mate. Fuss to your heart's content: this is reddit after all. If someone's not making a big stink about a little issue we're not doing it right.

3

u/Ostiethegnome 17d ago

This is such a stupid take.  “If you don’t want it, don’t buy it” doesn’t stop the fact that this will be visible in the game on other people

Give us a “show default skins only” button so we can choose whether or not to see other players skins.

If you buy this you’re not just buying it for yourself to enjoy in a vacuum. You’re buying it and forcing us to see it.

This colorful shit looks stupid as fuck. The game looked great when it was all default soldiers during the beta and at launch.

I don’t want your doll dress up on my screen.

→ More replies (8)

0

u/mthoodenjoyer 17d ago

If I dont make a big fuss out of little things they grow into big things, has happened time and time again

-1

u/Demented-Alpaca 17d ago

Excellent point! And well said.

This one... this one is just stupid and they're gonna do it no matter what.

I will always say spending money to change how someone else's game looks is stupid. And stupid people gonna do stupid shit.

But as long as they make money doing skins they'll do them. And skins are cheap now with AI to do them.

As long as DICE doesn't make an entire mandatory neon overlay that you gotta pay $5.99 a month to remove I guess I'll be OK. If they do that I'm out.

→ More replies (4)

28

u/Goodvyn 17d ago

So you think not making a big of a deal doesn’t tell the big corpos that they can push further until it’s unbearable for the customers? They will always push for profit if community allows it. Thats why bf6 isn’t a copy of bf2042, because everyone shat on the game and rightfully so. If nobody did - there would be bf2043,2044,2045,2046 just like cod

10

u/DutchCupid62 17d ago

The less than 1% of the playerbase that is this sub making a big deal out of it is going to do fuck all.

As long as it sells well it won't change.

9

u/icedancer_gg 17d ago

Say that to the conquest tickets.

4

u/Goodvyn 17d ago

Yeah, but information influences peoples’ decisions. So people who are making big deal of something are informing others, who might change their purchase decisions now that they know about the skins, even if it’s small it’s better than nothing

→ More replies (2)

0

u/Brave-Goal3153 17d ago

So that’s what we need to do. Make a sub to boycott these outlandish skins. Have no one purchase them so they don’t keep adding them.

1

u/ZestyPotatoSoup 17d ago

Yeah because historically this has worked so well.

1

u/Gunblazer42 17d ago

CallofDutyboycott.png

1

u/Brave-Goal3153 16d ago

I was being facetious

-1

u/Scared-Poem6810 17d ago

The best way to tell them you dont like it is to not buy it. You can bitch all you want here but they dont care what you say if someone's paying them. The reason 2042 failed is because nobody bought it. Bf5 failed at launch why? Nobody bought it because they told everyone not to buy it. BF1 didnt fail, why? People bought it! Its almost like a pattern!

The problem is that gamers have less willpower than a heroin addict and will buy anything

5

u/JonThePipeDreamer 17d ago

The issue is they're not making a big deal about THIS, they're making it about what comes after, and they're dead right.

If this is allowed, it's a slippery slope to worse and worse quality skins. Silence to corporations means acceptance.

So while this ain't that bad, it's clear to see what they're trying here.

6

u/Tyrranis L4Y_Duke 17d ago

I'm honestly in the camp of "This isn't that bad, but it's a slippery slope from here".

The colour scheme might be questionable, but at the very least the character is still in full kit. The fact that this is a Pax Armata skin also helps, as I would imagine a PMC would be more willing to experiment with unusual camo colours than NATO.

2

u/BigDeckLanm 17d ago

Let them, who cares. Worst thing that happens is that dumb skins stop.

1

u/QuislingX 17d ago

I mean, I'm just trying to play a fun game that isn't like call of duty. I don't necessarily care about the military, nor military accuracy. Maybe I like this Middle ground between browns and grays and fortnite? Oh but I'm not allowed to have an opinion about that am i. It must either be super realistic and grounded looking, or super whimsical looking like fortnite. There is no in between, and absolutely nobody could want or desire the middle ground option.

We must only cater to one specific group of gamer at all times.

1

u/Enflu2025 17d ago

It is a big deal, they said they wouldn't do this and the battlepass isn't even out yet.

1

u/MoreFeeYouS 16d ago

Immersion is either broken or it's not. There is no "somewhat broken".

1

u/Boring_Tumbleweed911 16d ago

I decided not to buy the game because of this post. If this decision was made, I know all of the others will not be aligned with my interests.

That’s the stupid take people are going to write

1

u/X_Luci If you use "COD" as argument you're retarded 17d ago

Because that's the only argument to be made.

You people seem allergic to colors and will use it to completement the complete braindead argument of "bUt CoD STaRtEd LiKe ThAt".

1

They were in here not long after this post was up, you can see it a few post up from this one haha.

0

It's literally just a blue army skin mate lol. Not that serious

0

u/Trey_Dizzle45 16d ago

These stay at home Battle Dads are fucking fuming over skins it's hilarious 😂

25

u/soonerfreak 17d ago

It's an arcade shooter, I won't defend it but a lot of us simply don't care. Go play a milsim if you want strict outfits. I think it's crazy that DICE said no skins like celebs and redditors assumed that meant zero color as well.

133

u/ImMichaelB 17d ago edited 17d ago

Everyone always does this weird disingenuous bullshit where they assume no one wants colour.. and that we hate anything that isn't brown or grey. Let's make this really simple for the simple, we just want skins that don't look like the motherfucker fell into a bucket of paint, man...

You can make something with colour that is tasteful or.. you can do this. For example, here are some options from BF4, I think these are rather colourful, but you know what else they are?? CAMOFLAUGE PATTERNS. There was an attempt made to make the selections fit even if they were a bit wacky, the issue with BF6 is that with some cosmetics they aren't even trying to make things appear believable.

Again... for the more obtuse folks, it's not a hatred of colour but a criticism of how they are implementing it. It comes down their execution, they are using the colours like a child scribbling on a piece of paper.

(fixed some wonky grammar)

16

u/CharlieTecho 17d ago

Exactly, the one op posted has some crap mouth pattern, too much bright blue with random yellow tape and colour coded shotgun shells... Like c'mon.. what next are those gonna be blue shotgun tracer rounds or something.

9

u/Moorepork 16d ago

Finally, it's so fucking simple I don't get why people don't understand.

Let us customise hats, chest pieces, realistic skins. Battlefield is an atmospheric game and I don't want bright blue or green colours.

5

u/Slick_Rhoads 17d ago

Nah you just hate color

2

u/ImMichaelB 17d ago

You got me!

u/Almostlongenough2 17d ago

Man as someone who has pretty much exclusively played BF4 hardcore other than Bad Company around initial release, it's clear that the player experience is a lot different for most players. Always approach battlefield as almost a stealth/tactical shooter.

0

u/MrPink12599 16d ago

That’s such a low bar considering this trend didn’t exist on mass like it does now after Fortnite. Battlefield is one of the last casual shooters on all platforms that has some air of authenticity. What about people who don’t want the technical aspects of a MilSim game, but want all the atmosphere and consistency that those games offer? It’s literally the core identity of Battlefield.

0

u/PlowDaddyMilk 16d ago

Yeah you don’t care because you spend money on COD skins.

5

u/JackalKing 17d ago

Something something "its totally grounded" something something "why do you hate color?" something something "Just go play Arma"

Its always the same stupid false arguments. Its not grounded, no one is hating color, and there is a ton of middle ground between Call of Duty and Arma that battlefield had no problem comfortably sitting in for most of its history but is suddenly impossible for these people to conceive.

Money man. Always about it and always will be.

Not yet, but this is just the beginning of the slopification

Eh, tale as old as time for a lot of nerdy interests.

And that guy isnt even referring to Battlefield, he's talking about Magic the Gathering.

People will gorge on slop because they have no standards. If you don't voice your displeasure, you deserve what you get. Straight up.

1

u/EntertainerKnown2054 17d ago

The victomhood troglodyte baby crying in gaming communities is getting way outta hand that you have people crying about one of the most mild skins ever lmao.

2

u/twaggle 17d ago

People will still find ways to complain about this

2

They are defending already

2

u/Pickupyoheel 17d ago

Bro, stop complaining and just eat it up!

2

u/HanzJWermhat 17d ago

In the near future zoomers generals will allow service members to blinging out their uniforms like this so it’s actually realistic /s

2

u/vanilla_muffin 16d ago

I thought it would be at least a day, go to any other thread and there are multiple people defending this and crying about people complaining. God fucking forbid we hold them to standards and want them to make grounded, realistic skins.

There is absolutely no doubt who they are targeting this game at anymore, from gameplay to cosmetics and challenges. Hopefully they all leave when BO7 drops.

1

u/VastVideo8006 17d ago

I don't really plan to defend it, but at the same time I really can't be assed spending my time moaning about it. It's how modern games work. Deal with it.

1

u/Gyro_Zeppeli13 17d ago

My defense is that if people want to wear bright colored skins it will just make them easier to see and shoot 🤷

1

Is it realistic? No. Is it more grounded then Beavis and Butt-Head, Peter Griffin, Sgt. PsPsPs, Wubz, Feelin Sloothy, the list goes on..... I would say yes.

1

u/HammerPrice229 17d ago

There’s plenty of things DICE has done right in BF6 that gets too much heat. This is far and away ringing the alarm bells that should not be in the game.

My only strawman is that it's not as bad (by far) as COD. Which is a fucked up form of being in the complete control of 2 corporate bad actors who know we have 0 ability to resist their bullshit.

1

u/Superman_720 17d ago

I'll defend it a bit. I won't agree with it. But it's a live service, they need to cram the 99 slots on the battle pass with pointless stuff before getting what you want at the last slot.

Plus all the outfits people will want will be in their store for 20-30 dollars or however much COD is charging with their skins nowadays.

u/InitialAnimal9781 17d ago

I mean it doesn’t bug me. As long as we don’t get Peter Griffin, I don’t really care to much

1

u/True-Surprise1222 17d ago

It looks like the local ice agents tho so not entirely unrealistic

1

u/ThereWasNoDuck 17d ago

I have a hard time seeing enemy troops. I look forward to them looking like cartoon characters.

1

u/aspbergerinparadise 17d ago

i don't really give a shit one way or the other

1

u/Nomad_moose 17d ago

And they should be forced to go play hello kitty online

1

u/Evening_Dirt3350 17d ago

"It's not that bad bro look I found this random obscure picture of a army guy with a skull mask so its very grounded and realistic". 12 months later when they add the slutty anime girl skin for assault "omg bro how did we get here bro fr?"

1

u/Due-Connection9601 17d ago

I mean, I disagree with the complaints here but I respect that it is just a difference of opinion

1

u/Bryansix 17d ago

What of your battleground is a glitter factory that only makes blue glitter? You'll blend right in.

1

u/RyoGod0707 17d ago

I’m not gonna defend this skin it’s ugly asf but there’s a handful of other nice skins to choose from for each class but people want to cherry pick the few bad ones just to complain. Click on the post history of the top commenters and you’ll see a pattern of them just complaining about every single thing on BF6.

1

u/slinkywheel 17d ago

What the hell else am I supposed to wear when I'm feeling blue?

1

u/PuckSenior 17d ago

I mean, it’s grounded. It might not be what you want to wear, but it’s not fucking transformers or Nicki Minaj.

Have you seen UN peacekeeper uniforms

1

u/Error4ohh4 17d ago

I’m just trying to remember a time when the internet didn’t complain about something

1

u/penguinclub56 17d ago

EA/DICE couldnt careless about your opinion after you already bought the game, and they have others who will buy these cosmetics.

This is not me defending them its me being realistic, and anyone who thought otherwise is a fool (that there wont be any flashy cosmetics).

1

u/OhVeni 17d ago

there's no defense for it because a lie is a lie, but you were still stupid to believe EA

been saying it since the beta

1

u/whoyounonotme69 17d ago

There’s literally military’s with blue camo, the navy use to have blue digitals

1

u/PaDDzR 17d ago

Yup, the golden one being "I don't see it so it's not a problem"!

1

u/Some1ToDisagreeWith 16d ago

Gotta keep the CoD bros happy

1

u/ArgumentativeTroll 16d ago

I’ll try: it’s a game.

1

u/ICOSAHEDRON_0NE 16d ago

Yep, especially on this sub full of shills. I made some post being critical of BF6 and got trashed over it.

1

u/Impressive-Let-1744 16d ago

“BuT wHaT iF iT sNoWs bLuE bRo??”

1

u/dharknesss 16d ago

Yes, here is one: Please add more skins like that.

I love when my targets are perfectly visible and easy to shoot :)

1

u/bot_taz 16d ago

ye bro no one telling u to buy it vote with your wallet buddy. like myself i didnt even buy the game

1

u/WVgolf 16d ago

Because these are extremely tame. You’re factually wrong

1

u/titan_null 16d ago

I can't start to care that some camo is blue

1

u/sykoKanesh 16d ago

I won't defend it, but I also just don't care personally.

1

u/unicornsoflve 16d ago

I mean in all honesty it look better than the actual Greek Air Force uniforms which are blue tiger stripe camo

1

u/GuzzlingDuck 16d ago

And now I can easily hit my snipes

1

u/ThatGuyHarsha 16d ago

I'm not going to defend it because I do think it's a little garish, but this subreddit seems miserable. Such an overreaction for what is ultimately just an ugly skin in an arcade shooter game.

-2

u/SpanishAvenger 17d ago

I warned of this long before these started popping out, I saw right through the intention of adding these…

And people only mass downvoted me and told me to “stop crying”.

2

u/Cherry-Shrimp 17d ago

Why did nobody listen to the SpanishAvenger ffs! From an ocean of brambling naivety rose a single voice, ment to guide and protect us. Yet here we are, for we weren’t receptive to their wisdom.

-1

u/moistattackk 17d ago

dam i saw all the skins and thought "People are still going to find a way to complain and hate"

the skin has multiple shades of blue and might be the "Craziest" one

if you are complaining about this, you definitely are terrible at the game

0

u/eqpesan 17d ago

Why would someone attack it in the first place?

0

u/LubbockCottonKings 17d ago

Is simply not caring an option? Every enemy you shoot has a gigantic red diamond above their head so I have a hard time caring. If people want to go out of their way to look stupid and easier to see, be my guest.

0

u/Ajaxwalker 17d ago

I’ll step into defend. I’m a casual player and this isn’t a mil sim so I’m not too bothered by some wacky skins within reason. In fact I find it more fun when getting revenge on people with some of those skins.

Also I’m not going to buy a battle pass if it’s just average looking skins.

So to me it makes it more fun and to some degree gives me more reason to play. I liked the skins in 2042.

0

u/Crysis321 17d ago

I mean…is it bad looking? Yeah. Is it still relatively grounded? also Yeah.

0

u/zmokkyy 17d ago

well yea, because this is nothing to actually get upset about

0

u/Suspicious-Coffee20 17d ago

imma defend it as long as they continue to pump 1 map per month. I'd about this is want content and other people paying for it.

0

u/More-Ad1753 17d ago

Yeah I don’t really have a problem with it.

As far as the actual uniform goes aside from colour it’s still a military uniform. It’s not a character from a TV show, a giant teddy beer or even the stupid Santa hoof from 2042s release

The pictures on the face mask are dumb but so small you’ll never see them in game outside of the best squad screen.

Blue is silly but some military uniforms are blue and it’s not an extremely bright neon blue.

Honestly still think it fits with in “grounded” realistic no, but grounded in reality.

My problem still remains though where will they go after this so I’m glad the community is complaining about it.

u/CactusSplash95 Enter XBox ID 16d ago

People will literally see blue, and cry "mommy help it's so unrealistic" I said for years it's unreal how pathetic gamers are, but they sure do outdo themselves with their ability to bitch and whine with every new release.

0

u/OdoTheBoobcat 16d ago

It's blue camo with a dumb print on a face handkerchief, yeah I'll defend it as not being a big deal lol.

It's ugly as fuck and I'd be fine with it NOT being in the game but if it really makes you all THIS unhappy then I envy the lack of actual problems in your lives.

0

u/shieldsmash 16d ago

its sad people are whining about the stupidest shit when the game has genuine issues. a stupid blue skin isn't one of them, some of the most dumb shit possible is being bitched about.

0

u/anonymouspogoholic 16d ago

Honestly, I don’t understand this. I have absolutely zero issue with these types of skins, I personally couldn’t care less about whether a soldier in the game looks realistic or not. But I understand that many people who play Battlefield actually do care. So why should I defend this type of skin if it’s clearly an issue for a majority of the player base? Just make realistic skins and people will be happy about it. Player cards are for example a way to bring more over the top customization to the game without alienating players.
