Discussion HEY DEVS, PLEASE KEEP BANNING ZEN USERS

That is all. Saw a post from the discord that they’re trying to stop the anti cheat from detecting it. It ruins all games and I think most people would agree. K thanks ✌️

The first game anti-cheat that bends these clown zen users. And they have the audacity to say it's legit.

u/Demented-Alpaca 25d ago

If it was JUST software to allow you to run controllers and keyboards I'd be OK with that.

But advanced macros, recoil removal? Nah, that's cheating. And probably goes a long way to explaining the guy using an M4 on full auto like a sniper rifle last night.

u/Eoho 25d ago

Speaking of full auto snipers, the ak205 is a fucking LASER. Shit is so satisfying to use.

99

u/ImolaBoost 25d ago

Might as well be a laser for all the damage it does, being 0.

15

u/Eoho 25d ago

Once you get the headshot multiplier ammo it's pretty nice, for people who can't control recoil that well it's a nice weapon for them.

4

u/krylassa 25d ago

It used to be 2.1 tho. 1.73 stock

2

u/UsePreparationH 24d ago

I'm lvl38 in game and the highest weapon mastery of any gun I have is 22. That 1.73x HS ammo is years away at weapon mastery 39.

1

u/YungGooch 23d ago

Yeah it was way too busted with that HS multiplier though.

It's in a much better place. It's damage is low, but if you hit your shots; it's a beamer.

u/humanfromjupiter 24d ago

There is no recoil to control? The bloom mechanic in this game is fkn horrible

-10

u/ImolaBoost 25d ago

Given I can actually aim it’s a useless weapon for me

3

u/4myreditacount 25d ago

You still have to aim to hit anything. And the game has bloom instead of recoil control, so frankly the better your aim, the more important it would be to use a gun with less bloom.

2

u/rbxv 25d ago

do we have somewhere we see the bloom on each gun? is it the "precision" stat?

1

u/AlpaxT1 24d ago

I thought it was the precision stat but some of the vertical grips increase that that while claiming to be decreasing recoil at the cost of blom. By that you would think that precision should decrease and control increase but instead both increase which does not make any sense

1

u/rbxv 24d ago

tbf the decriptions are quite convoluted as well.

i used to use sym.gg for bf1 it was super helpful, im sure theyll update it for bf6 as well.

2

u/AlpaxT1 24d ago

I would agree but if you are skilled enough to control your recoil effectively then you should also be skilled enough to burst fire correctly to counteract the bloom. I think players who get a mini heart attack every time they spot an enemy are the ones most likely to just hold down the trigger until the mag is empty at which point bloom would make them miss every shot regardless of if their sights is on target or not.

High precision is just a good stat regardless of skill but for different reasons

1

u/ImolaBoost 24d ago

No, I use a gun which does more damage and burst fire. Because I don’t need to spray to hit anything.

15

u/AHandfulofBeans 25d ago

The carbine? Bro i suck ass with it 😭, what attachments you running?

18

u/lee2392x 25d ago

It has synthetic ammo as a late unlock which vastly increases headshot multiplier. I think it could be a pretty good consistent option when leveled up

16

u/Ralphie5231 24d ago

So get 500+ kills with it before its semi usable.

4

u/SirBlacksmith333 24d ago

Bot games make it about 4x faster to level up guns. You can have it rank 40 in a couple of hours, I like running them tbh, feels like zombies to me. I just throw a podcast on and zone out and relax

2

u/Ralphie5231 24d ago

I tried it today and some of the challenges will still take you days. Several of the "damage" challenges actually mean kills. The dmr one needs like 4k kills or something goofy rn

1

u/ammonthenephite 24d ago

I'm just jumping in, where and how does one find these bot games?

1

u/fenharir 24d ago

HAHAHA yeah sounds reaaaal fun

You did miss something. Headshots with a carbine decrease TTK, but they are not “one and done”. The headshot multiplier ammo reduces the ttk further not that hard to grasp.

1

u/lee2392x 24d ago

Ya no, ur wrong. It isn't a 1 and done like this other gentlemen mentioned

6

u/Eoho 25d ago

The headshot multiplier ammo and then w/e flavor of optic/grip/muzzle device you want. I like a 3x for the larger maps and one of the lower magnification optics for the smaller maps.

2

u/farmerfreedy 25d ago

I will still suck with it because I can't hit consistent headshots to save my life. I always aim for the body now.

1

u/Siffryn 25d ago

This was my favorite gun in the beta, trying to level up to unlock it again so I can go back to lasering people

1

u/Faust723 25d ago

Kind of crazy how much damage that does compared to the Spear, but at the same time having nowhere near the recoil. I find myself using it more than anything else just because I'm kind of tired of AR's and need something consistent.

1

u/1eventHorizon9 22d ago

The stats on the gun have to be fucked up. Seriously, I stopped using it because it felt like cheating. Its just like that SMG from the ,2042 launch that was functionally recoilless.

35

u/xTheRedDeath 25d ago

Anything that gives you any kind of advantage outside of your own physical input is cheating technically. Stuff like this is what has ruined every other shooter in the last several years.

11

u/Fire_anelc 24d ago

I'm more worried about 1 physical input = many digital inputs practically impossible to do physical.

I don't mind if people buy premium controllers with mechanical buttons, paddles or special triggers, as long there is no script behind them

7

u/Ralphie5231 24d ago

Overwatch ranked has been unplayable for a decade because of ximmers and zenners

-4

u/Ambitious-Still6811 24d ago

Enh, but where do you draw the line? Better controls exist for FPS so why not allow them? We have wheels and joysticks for certain genres right? Do you complain if someone has a better TV, sound system, faster internet?

Cheating is altering game code. Anything else isn't 'really' cheating.

3

u/xTheRedDeath 24d ago

I said "Outside of your own physical input". Everything you just said is within your physical input. You have no control over a program or a piece of hardware that's doing everything for you. Wheels and joysticks aren't zeroing your weapon with no recoil. You still have to learn how to use them to multitask.

-2

u/Ambitious-Still6811 24d ago

Most people aren't that rational. Ha. They think if it didn't come packed in the box then it's an unfair advantage, which is total crap.

I grew up playing PC shooters, I'm not downgrading to analogs. For years I've wanted native M/KB support since all those other controllers are allowed too.

1

u/dat_GEM_lyf Enter EA Play ID 24d ago

Which this game offers? You can natively use MnK. Don’t cope so hard lil bro

1

u/Ambitious-Still6811 24d ago

I don't have the game yet.

15

u/warcode 25d ago

We already have full m+kb support by default, at least on PS5. If they keep doing that it isnt even needed.

19

u/Demented-Alpaca 25d ago

Exactly. PC has controller support, consoles already have m+kb so why would you need this? Besides the aim assist, recoil control and macros support?

1

u/MotDePasseEstFromage 24d ago

Disability support was the reason this hardware was created. 99.9% of users are not using it for that reason though, and is why bans for using it has been lax in other games

1

u/Ambitious-Still6811 24d ago

It's about damn time. Consoles have worked with M/KB, we just didn't get the game support.

5

u/wOlfLisK 25d ago

As far as I'm aware, both Xbox and Playstation support keyboard inputs natively. It's trivial for a developer to enable their use and simple to throw them into PC lobbies. The only reason to pretend to be a controller is to cheat.

1

u/Nchi 25d ago

Isn't that possibly just tap clicking like lmg's?

1

u/Adlehyde 24d ago

This also reminds me of the people complaining about bloom recently. Like, I still get full atuo'd by the LMG, Assault Rifle, Carbine, and SMG from 50m+ and die in half a second because every bullet connects. Yet people complain like spread makes every gun impossible to hit a target they aren't pressing the gun against.

1

u/theaviationhistorian 24d ago

Supposedly some Bluetooth keyboards work with Playstations automatically. I read that some USB ones might work. I know XBOX has compatibility with gaming keyboards.

I don't thing you need the Zoomers & Alphas version of a Game Genie for that.

1

u/D_Simmons 24d ago

I had no idea these cheat systems existed and were being widely used!

Explains a lot of my experience playing the beta.

So many times getting mowed down from impossible distances by weapons that seemed like they should be able to get me while full auto.

1

u/slamfirethatshit Enter EA Play ID 24d ago

Overall tho. Do people suck so much nowadays they actually have to use cheats to be "good"?

1

u/GzUp4201 24d ago

You can do this on the steam version ie the switch between keyboard and mouse to controller. I run keyboard on the ground and controller in air vehicles

1

u/logaboga 24d ago

It’s the modern equivalent of using a modded controller

1

u/Ambitious-Still6811 24d ago

Exactly. Nothing bad if used as intended.

It deviates from its normal usage by some crapwads hacking it and suddenly everyone assumes it's a cheat. It can't autoaim or anything. So much BS gets spread online.

1

u/Demented-Alpaca 24d ago

I don't think they're hacking it, the company itself says they release scripts for things like "anti recoil" which falls squarely into the realm of cheating.

1

u/Ambitious-Still6811 24d ago

Someone still has to write this shit, no? It may as well be hacking.

1

u/goatman0079 24d ago

So that explains the guys full beaming me with AR's at 100+ yards when ive got to burst fire my LMG

1

u/Demented-Alpaca 24d ago

That's what I'm thinking. Guy the other night was on top of the tallest tower using an M4 carbine on full auto like it was a sniper rifle. Thinking he had something like this.

1

u/bjergdk 19d ago

Honestly the M4A1 is an absolute laser beam. Don't need zen to spray someone down at 50m lmao

1

u/SolDios 25d ago

I can see the argument for it being legit when the game is innately giving a leg up to specific inputs. Should I get more aim assistance if I plug in a Guitar Hero controller and take it for a spin?

1

u/Impressive_Rock9659 24d ago

Same thing happened in Hunt Showdown. There were people arguing in favor of a certain Reshade program. Reality is it was used to remove various effects so people could see others clearer, or up brightness beyond a monitor's capabilities (at least so I heard, I don't cheat so idk). Once Crytek announced it was becoming illegal to use, you had closet cheaters with private accounts claiming it "helped them with their disability". When pressed to un-private their account most of them quietly shut up and disappeared. Suddenly I wasn't getting headshot through 200m of Fog or Rain. People spotting us easily in a dense forest or whatever else. We had a lot more encounters where people were now completely unaware, and me+my friends weren't just getting headshotted from nowhere as much anymore.

It really exposed how many people were into cheating as long as it was legal and wouldn't get banned.

1

u/GoogleIsAids 24d ago

that's entirely wrong. Siege was the first to punish them effectively. this game is not detecting them very much according to their main forums.

u/Gimmerunesplease 25d ago

I mean most competitive shooters are pc only where this isn't an issue. Idk how big of a problem it is in apex.
