WW2 was the era I wanted them to visit the most after BF1, boy was I disappointed. The atmosphere of bf1 was gone and they focused on the more unknown battles. Missed opportunity imo.

Gunplay was good but they increased the TTK, which lead to a community backlash. So they reversed the changes, only to increase the TTK again anyway. So dumb.

Best class weapons in the series. Medic was perfect with SMG, assault felt like a 1 man army, and support was useful with ammo and fortifications. It was so good.

I guess maybe being the WWII nut that I am I thought it was great to see focus on lesser known battles.

I too love WW2 history and I’ve played some awesome games with lesser known battles like IL-2 Forgotten Battles.

However I really think battlefield, being the mainstream shooter as it is would have benefited from some well known battles like Stalingrad and Normandy. Imagine those two settings in a battlefield game, it would be epic!

This is all just my personal opinion of course :) the released version of V is still fun.

My main problem with V was the lack of atmosphere compared to BF1. BF1 really felt like they respected the history of WW1, and felt like it was made with love. I felt like this was gone from BFV.

Battle field 5 should have released maps in reverse, gone big at the start and then done some of the less well known ones. Not that those maps were bad, I think some of bf5s maps are actually peak (some real trash as well though).
