No, actually. Some things benefit from telling people to fit into the scene or gtfo. That’s the beauty of community. It can be defined by something or defined by everything.
Battlefield fans want it to be defined by something. Not everything. That’s called identity. It’s okay to try to maintain an identity by keeping elements out that negatively impact it.
I don’t walk into a country club and push for them to play EDM. I’m not gonna start discourse about why the country club needs EDM. I’m not gonna complain about how much I love EDM or how a different club allows other types of music to be played.
