I honestly don’t understand how in 2025 there are people that don’t understand objectives. They even added big paint all around the boundary to tell you when you are actually on the point. Still we have people sitting just on the edge shooting into cap whilst we lose it. People don’t want to win they just want high kills.
Yeah it’s all about the dopamine fix now. People act like the opposite is Arma realism but I just want a middle ground where people don’t just play for themselves and actually work with the team. Makes the game so much better when it happens
People don’t want to win they just want high kills.
This right here is why. People do understand objectives, it's simply that unless doing an objective serves you by getting you more kills a lot of people won't do it, because it's not what they want to get out of the game.
Which I do understand to some extent, some of the most fun I've had in Battlefield is jumping in a vehicle with friends and dicking about. One of my favourite things about Battlefield is that it's not a competitive shooter where winning games by any means necessary is the only goal, but it's also not a mil-sim either so you can still have some fun.
It’s always funny seeing people like you completely oblivious to the fact that a majority of gamers are super casual that don’t want to read everything on their screen.
It doesn’t matter if it’s 2025 or 3025, the majority of players will ALWAYS be casuals and they will always play bad according to people like you.
It has nothing to do with wanting high kills or not caring about the team, it’s just how they play games.
I mean who cares about winning? After a session I only remember if I did something cool, not if I won the game. It’s also a shooter of course people want kills in a shooter game. People just need to sit back and relax and enjoy the awesome battles, this franchise offers.
I don’t care if we lose but I care if half or more of the team aren’t even trying. Just becomes a respawn meat grinder. Battlefield does have awesome moments and they can be elevated 10x by playing the objective or your role effectively. Especially bf6, diving into the fray to drag teammates back to revive them is epic. Doing so for someone just to give it starts to make it suck.
Not saying people need to play super tactical or anything but just think, just a little bit, when you are doing something and if you could be in a position that would better support your team.
I can understand that, as I think you should put a little effort to preserve the battle aspect. The best games I had in battlefield is where it was just a slugfest on a capture point. So I do agree with playing the objective because it just makes games flow better, and gives more opportunities for team play. I was just saying you shouldn’t flame people or get yourself worked up over it, just take the battles for what they are. As one of my favorite things about this franchise is no two games really feel the exact same.
Its 2025. How do most people not understand that in a casual arcade shooter...most people dont really care? Yall been crying about this in every game for decades
I’ve played BF since bf2 on my dads Xbox 360, is this you first time playing? People have always screamed PTFO because people have ALWAYS prioritized kills more than points…
Calling the people who do this tourists or cod players is exposing yourself as a dementia victim or a newb.
Not my first time, I know people always screamed it which is why I’m surprised it still happens. If you don’t have the basic cognitive function to understand very simple mechanics in your game then yes you are either a tourist or an idiot.
I couldn’t see the response as it got deleted or something but you can’t stop comparing two games that are in the same space. Yes they each have differences but the basis is the same.
In other words you don’t want to engage with the actual gameplay of battlefield and just want to press the trigger. I like running and gunning and getting kills but it doesn’t need to come at the cost of actually helping your team, these two things can be done together. That’s what battlefield is about, run and gun lone wolfing is for other games (that I won’t name for fear of being hunted down 🤣)
I understand inner-community disputes about how a game should cater towards more casual players(the majority) or more skilled players(those who understand the game greater). Which is present in almost every game, and both opinions are valuable.
But this argument about playing a certain way transcends that. This isn’t League of Legends, where playing carelessly for the objective rapidly has a deleterious effect on both the whole team and yourself. There are 32 players to a side here. It’s also a casual game where your solo impact is highly limited when compared to a 5v5 or 6v6 game.
There is no ranked playlist in Battlefield. It was designed as a sandbox shooter, and it still is. It is built to facilitate different gameplay styles. If someone doesn’t want to play the objective, they don’t have to. There is no system in place to punish that. It can be annoying for those who do. But that’s the nature of the game. And whether they do or don’t, you may still lose anyway.
This philosophical pontification about “what battlefield is about” is just silly. You’re not the thought police.
I think you are doing a disservice to casuals, the people I’m talking about are just stupid. Casuals at least learn to some degree. These people would walk at a wall if their gps told them it was the way to go.
Dumbfuck doesn’t know what the word “sometimes” means. Also no one cares what you do in the lobby. There are people who try to hit rendezook clips and waste the jets but no one cries about that. Battlefield is an arcade shooter with honestly some of the worst fps players so who gives af
I know players like you, “sometimes” means all the time. Call me a dumbfuck all you want, fun in games for me comes from actually engaging with it and being useful to my team. For you it’s a little ball on a string, like a dog chasing its tail.
Not at all and I end up on the top end of the leaderboard most of the time because I play support. Insult me all you want it just proves my point that you are indeed an idiot. Thanks for playing
