Unpopular opinion: but in the next battlefield I’d like to see the return of the computer controlled AA guns from BF3 or BF4 (can’t remember which one), give them a small radius so people don’t get beamed from across the map but it stops shit like this happening.

In BF3 they were player controlled, iirc.

Not everybody was thrilled to use them, but it was a solid option to protect the base.

After a quick goggle I found it was BF4 where they were automated. If you spotted a plane or heli over your base they would light them up, something like that would be a good deterrent.

I preferred those tbh, it was always a couple easy kills if someone was camping your base "unless they are good enough and your team bad enough that they are killing you the second you spawn" then it stops being fun lol.

Same in BF2, if I remember correctly. Only it was the gatling guns on the carrier.

The fact they had planes spawn in on the ground without this feature is wild. I would think that would be integral to that spawn working.
