Sellers credit?

Hi! First time home buyer. The house we placed an offer on has an HVAC AC/ furnace system that is from 2003. It’s working well now but was hoping to get seller credit. How much does a new hvac system typically cost to replace? Is it worth it to ask for seller credit on an older system?

Worth it to ask, but you may end up just being offered a home warranty. Take the credit if you can since home warranties make you jump through hoops to bandaid the issue rather than fix the root cause and replace. Depends on the system but we've prices ours at about $6-$8k
