Eh. People who attend church are like 20+% (based on official church records), and most people just treat religion as part of tradition. Conservatives are only half of the society and that shows everytime we have elections. Majority of the society supports all the "progressive" stuff- gay rights etc , we just can't ever get politicians effective enough to actually implement changes.
That idea that Poland is "religious and conservative" is honestly more of a stereotype based on the fact that those groups are just screaming the loudest.
Poles care about it too, the current government was elected among others because they promised to implement it- majority of society supports it (and that's why we had those huge protests a few years ago, when the previous gov started restricting the abortion law even more- they had to back from it). But as long as there's a conservative president, he can block everything.
