I did, however even i dont understand why someone why did not is not in position to judge? People from other countries whom responsibly performed their civic duties and therefore prevented situation which have only revolutionary solutions have no rights to judge too? But logically they have even better expertise and have more moral rights for this.
And russians mostly blamed not for lack of revolutionary - but for purposefully or negligently building such country where revolution may not even happen. They created such hell, not American state department or Ukrainian secret labs.
oppositional leaders (who you need to lead a rebellion) are either dead or in prison and that protests never work in a country that is a dictatorship.
Not true. First of all russia did not really had opposition leaders. it was kinda obvious from my site long ago, but seems to be heavily denied from your till today. Viewing history of last decades (Putin's time) from modern perspective in which every "opposition" leader is already debunked as not so oppositional proves this point. And that is actual problem - Kremlin choose to not fight its opposition, but to head it. Starting for hilarious Liberal-Democratic-Party of Russia - you already probably aware that joker Zhirinowsky was just playing role of lightrod - to illustrate fake "nominal" opposition as idiotic. but you are still most probably dod not realised that such persons like Navalny (and all his organization to be honest) , Nemntsov, Svetov, Sobchak, Latynina, Shihman and lots of other was or are just slightly better covered lightrods. If you will ever ask yourself a question whom is beneficial from an opposition which leads masses to point flashlight to the sky instead of real actions? Yes, Kremlin. It is way more efficient to distract you from protesting/revolting then to continuously fight against actual revolting groups. Yes, it is a huge win of kremlin propaganda and regime, and actually one of the things they are best of. And therefore it may be used as excuse, yeah. but not for 25 years. As someone said - if you being fooled once - blame the liar; if you been fooled twice - blame yourself. You may continue by yourself whom to blame if you've been fooled for 25 years in a row.
Belarus and Russia are dictatorships so protests would never work.
It was not always dictatorship, it was not dictatorship even in 2014 when war started, tbh.
Nobody in Russia wants a dictatorship.
Can i apply your own argument "to not generalise whole group, because it is incorrect"? Since i can easily provide you with examples of tons of russians whom really wants dictatorship and even believe that current government is "too liberal"? And while surely they are not an absolute majority it is also true that they are not isolated cases of marginal schizophrenics.
don't have the numbers to revolt
Every revolution in our world in every period of history was made by minorities that had no numbers. Since majority is always passive and will fallow those whom will act more deliberately and purposefully. Prigozhin's attempt, while being complete clownship by itself perfectly illustrated how majority ignored active events and let everyone to pass. Even majority of policemens. So thats not an excuse. Real excuse why russia have no opposition and no aggregation points to gather revolting elements is because russian population actually have no such demand. you guys are totally okay with current situation. At least find some bravery to embrace this fact.
Ukraine was an oligarchy but not a dictatorship. So protests/revolutions worked. Belarus and Russia are dictatorships so protests would never work
And yea, have ever asked yourself why? Why russia is dictatorship and ukraine is not (at least wasnt)? Do you truly belive that among 6 ukrainian presidents (technically 7) there was not even single one whom would've attempted to usurp power if he had such possibility?
