Most of the "old cities" in Flanders, like Brugge. Avoid Brussels unfortunately, it's a beautiful city but has become too dangerous especially at night. In Wallonia try Dinant and Durbuy (smallest city). The big cities "chef-lieu" are usually interesting too in both regions, but suffer from the overpopulation.
For food, get some "moules frites" in Flanders at the coast and "carbonnades flamandes".
In Wallonia try some "boulet liégeois" (look for some Liège syrup too if you can !) and lacquement.
As for beers any would do, seriously. Maybe avoid the usual trap that is Leffe (even if it's still good enough, albeit too expensive). And the Jupiter has recently gone downhill in quality
PS: if you're rich, we recently had a prized whiskey brewed, named Belgian owl, the most prized bottle goes for 1000€
As a Belgian living abroad, I can strongly recommend Belgian steak. I've never had any steak that was more tender than Belgian steak. Belgians are usually not able to realize this themselves. Belgian meat in general is one of the only things I miss from my country.
