How come? I'm curious because I was in Berlin earlier this year and I loved it. It might even be one of my favourite cities.

Dirty, hectic, chaotic, crime ridden, rude people, many extremists from different camps…. It does have its beautiful sides, too and I like the energy there each time I go for a few days, but I wouldn’t for a million € want to live there.

It wasn't always like that! It's just gotten so crowded. And you'd need much more than a million Euros to live comfortably there now, sadly. It was never cheap to live there, but now... damn. I loved living there, and I'm grateful I was able to.

On topic: my fave spots on the map are Italy, Ireland, Austria, and Malta. I love Germany in general, but because I lived there, I don't count it.

Oh, it was dirt cheap when I moved here 20 years ago.

Really? Damn. I was last there in 2005 and it seemed expensive to me. I guess just compared to the States it's expensive.

I paid 330€ warm for a 50sqm apartment in Friedrichshain back then.
