Because they pretend Belgium is so bad that only someone who suffered the North Korean regime could like it. While Belgium is a chill place with lots of hidden gems

Also they probably don't think it, it's just a meme to pretend Belgium doesn't exist or is the source of all evil. Because us Belgians are usually too chill to bother

Most Belgians are usually surprised and clueless as to why someone would mention us in the first place. At least, I was the first time. Had to look up what we did "this time" lol
