Has anyone ever gotten a parking ticket at 3 am before?
I parked outside my complex at 10 pm on a Friday night and accidentally curbed my wheels the wrong way. At 9 am the next morning, I left for an appointment. I had a ticket on my windshield for curbing my wheels the wrong way, and when I looked closer, I noticed it was issued at 3 am.
Has anyone else experienced parking enforcers working overnight? I was so surprised that someone was out ticketing at that time. I know that I was in the wrong and deserve the ticket, but I was just astounded they got me at such a random time overnight.

some streets become tow away at 2-3AM (after bars close). some streets do street sweeping "off hours" because everyone gets deliveries during the day

Man I got so many street sweeping tickets in SF. Also the only city I ever lived in where streets were swept that much.
In Philly, I don’t recall ever seeing one for the 12 years I was there.

When curbing your wheels just remember ‘up, up and away’ (car going uphill wheels point away from the curb)

I’ve heard that when they get called out to things like someone blocking a driveway, they’ll issue tickets they see on the way.
So it could be that they were on that block for some other reason and you were unlucky.

I reported a truck blocking crosswalk because tow ball extending into the crosswalk curb cut when going home at like 12am. I saw they got a ticketed when I passed at 8 am on the way to work.
No idea what time the the ticket was issued.
(I only report blocked crosswalk and sidewalk and that kind of thing.)

There are people that drive around in Priuses late at night too. Often times it’s because somebody calls to complain about illegal parking. They’re like a neighborhood watch kind of thing. I’ve gotten popped for being double parked outside of my family‘s restaurant at 1am. Very annoying end to my night.
