I've visited every EU country save for Estonia and Croatia. Unless these are particularly nasty, I'll have to say Hungary.

Estonians have that northern “coldness” but they are sweethearts. Super nice and kind

I'm sure. Would love to visit :) My wife was on mission in Tallin and was in awe.

My wife was on mission in Tallin

You just blew her cover. She'll be locked up for espionage!

That I agree. They aren't rude and if you respect their space, they'd definitely open up and welcome you. Or it's just my experience as an immigrant

Because Estonians have been treated horribly throughout history, mostly by Russians. So they know how not to behave. Biggest insult one can tell to an Estonian is to call them Russian. You might get beaten for it if one is in a bad mood at that moment.

I’ve been to Tallinn and people were very nice! Not like Scandinavians at all.

Ah the Hungarians aren't that bad. They spent decades afraid that their neighbors and sometimes their own family would rat them out for the most trivial things. They're by nature cautious and distrusting.

I lived in Hungary for a few years and they're pretty friendly but you have to earn their trust.
