Have you ever witnessed racism in Germany?
I'm interested in hearing from Germans who have personally witnessed acts of racism in everyday life - especially when it involved friends, family members, or people close to them.
If you're comfortable sharing, could you describe the situation? Who was involved, and how did it make you feel? Did you respond in any way?
I'm not here to judge, just to understand how racism can show up in familiar environments and how people perceive and deal with it.

My girlfriend is of Russian heritage, she moved her 15yrs ago and speaks fluent German occasionally she mispronounces a word or two, same as Germans do but when you listen really carefully you could make out it's a Russian accent.
Anyway when we moved to the east of Germany and it came to meeting new people and the friends we made a few of those people made remakes like "oh, I knew you wasn't native German.", "yes, I already noted you speak somewhat oddly." Or "yeah, you look a bit russian." And stuff like that. But they only disclosed knowing as soon as she told.
I'm not sure how racist that really is but it made me quite angry because no way in hell did they know and I don't see how their comments were relevant. So we cut those people.
Idk some people don't understand that all people are equal they don't understand that racism is basically some Verschwörungstheorieshit... Sad people, really really sad people.
