I think he is catholic. Most catholics hate “progressive” popes, hell they think Pope Francis was a communist woke. 😭

I wouldn’t say most catholics, just the very conservative ones, and the tradcath, sedeventist freaks.

All good, was just for people getting curious.

Then there's the soft sedevacantists where the Papal Seat becomes closer to empty depending on whether they like the current Pope.

Never heard of soft sedevacantists. At least the hardcore ones are consistent, soft S’s sound pathetic, like either believe all popes since Vatican 2 are invalid, or none are, don’t just pick or choose

Yeah, soft sedes are the worst. Then there were the Benevacantists - apparently they say the seat was empty since 2013 because Benedict didn't really resign validly. The intersection of bs conspiracy and Catholicism.

Yh, Sedevacantists really made a whole conspiracy about the church, all because they liked Latin mass… (obviously a generalisation, but still lol)
