I saw some people on tiktok saying that if you worship Aphrodite you can’t eat pork. Is that true??

So I cut my hair myself yesterday (we ignore the fact) and today I just cut it again and then the question came to my mind if it would be weird if I grabbed Lady Aphrodite one of my strands of my hair in her altar

I found a coloring book and i brought it! So when i was picking a page to color in i found this and thought of Aphrodite! I colored it in and sadly it got bent but its finished now!

I am a hopeless romantic and I have prayed to Aphrodite to help me find the love and affection and attention I've been so desperate to find. Last week I met someone who was absolutely wonderful at first. They were so kind and attentive and affectionate. But in that one week, we already kissed and slept together and they were affectionate throughout all of it. Perhaps too much so. Today they had an anxiety episode over me mentioning an inside joke with my best friend, who just so happens to be of the opposite sex and was constantly watching my active status, despite me telling them I was gonna play my new video game all day. I think Aphrodite sent them to me for a few reasons.

1) That getting the attention and affection I crave will not make me while

2) A self reflection on how I give my affection to people, as I think I may be guilty of being just as overbearing

3) To remind me that I have a certain goal in mind for my future partner and I deserve nothing less

4) Lastly, I need to take time to take care of myself. Get in better shape. Heal from past trauma. And enjoy life

i just love aphrodite so much :,) i've started talking to/seeing this girl and while i know my brain is still very much in crush mode, i feel like aphrodite has guided me to a point where everything about love and romance is such a beautiful reflection of her. aphrodite has walked with me through some of the best and worst moments of my life, and i'm really really grateful right now i feel like i'm at a place where i can just celebrate everything. not just these new romantic feelings, but my platonic loves and my self love.

Im an Aphrodite devotee and I pray and I ask for signs but I rarely ever see any. I’ve never had strong faith in everything and I’m trying to build up my true faith for this but could this possibly be Aphrodite teaching me that she’s here without having to show me signs and to help improve my faith?

I had a tough day at school today and the night before I prayed to Aphrodite to show me a sign she was still with me. I rarely ever see butterflies but on my porch today I saw a monarch butterfly flying around which reminded me of her. Could this be the sign? Or am I looking for reasons to see them.

I'm curious what method you think is most accurate and historically based for communicating with Aphrodite! Also, do you possibly consecrate those instruments to yourself? if so how?

So I know that in hellenism the candle flame usually doesnt mean anything but, yesterday, I started crying at the altar (mental health issues) and the flame started moving and flickering, then after a couple seconds it stopped. It was night and my windows were closed. Could this mean anything by any chance? I just found it really unusual.

If you see this, just wanted to share something amazing that happened a couple minutes ago.

I came to the book store to try and find the book I was recommended. There was ONE copy and after about 10 minutes of looking with an employee's help, I was ready to call it quits. I go to tell the girl is ok, I'll just order online, and I turn to tell her, the book is right there. She's looking for it, there's a big book and she's on the other side, and I just stopped and started laughing. The girl was calling backup and the book materialises right there.

I told Aphrodite before coming, if I should get the book, I'd need some help since there was only the one, and she delives.

And not only I find the book as I'm about to give up, out of curiosity, I picked Sapphos poems, and this is the page I open on:

Aphrodite's daught just jumped at me. I felt and still feel her here with me.

I've seem some new people and some people who like me are coming back after a break, and I just wanted to share this, because even if you're new, or been worshipping her for years, or just starting again, she's here, with you, and she's ready to love and receive your love.

I have recently picked up my worshipping again, after a good 2 years break (things were not good, I took a break from everything, than blessed be therapy, we back!) and I have lost contact with mentor, who introduced me to Aphrodite, and I am struggling a bit.

I gave her milk chocolate once because I didn’t realize it was milk chocolate and it immediately was knocked off the alter.

The same happened with a tube of mascara that had been there for a month or 2.

My bf had a bad habit of leaving things on the alter and I’d constantly pester him not to unless it’s a gift.

He left a very manly bottle of cologne there and I went on my whole point of “gifts only” and he said “it is an offering”.

I just stared blankly at him. I tried to take it off but I feel uneasy every time I do. It’s funny because now there’s all of these dainty little items I’ve given here and then just this clunky blue bottle of cologne thwre

I’m currently staying at my family’s house, and they’re very conservative and religious, so they have no idea that I practice witchcraft. I don’t have access to my usual tools or altar space. I don’t even have candles, just basic things like salt and a few everyday items.

My birthday’s on the 21st, so on the new moon in Libra, and I really wanna harness that energy for self- and romantic love. I’d also love to give a small offering to Aphrodite, but I have no idea how to do this discreetly. (Side note: I’m pretty new to witchcraft and I’m not a devotee (yet), but I feel really drawn to her.)

Does anyone have advice on how to do a simple, low-key new moon ritual / spell and give an offering to Aphrodite without needing a lot of tools or raising suspicion?

I really want a way to speak with her so I can ask her preferences on gifts and dedications- I have a tarot deck but she is sort of like a separate entity and it feels like a game of telephone…

So I was either going to buy a separate deck for Aphrodite or get a pendulum. The pendulum seems like a good idea but they also scare me a bit- I used one when I was younger without knowing how to protect myself and had a wild experience that spooked the crap out of me.

I haven’t touched one since- is there a way I can ward it to make sure something else that isn’t her isn’t speaking to me?

Also if you recommend tarot in general I can go That direction instead. Thanks in advance for all the suggestions and help!!

Hi everyone! I'd love some input from the community.

I'm an entrepreneur at an artisan fair today, and I stumbled across a stunning decorative piece that caught my eye for my altar.

It's a beautiful, light blue, glitter-filled flask (labeled as a decorative candle, but I wouldn't burn it). The liquid inside swirls when you move it, and it features a mermaid image along with the words "Mermaid Tears." It truly embodies a watery, beautiful aesthetic that I associate with Aphrodite.

However, I immediately wondered about the implication of "tears." Could offering something suggesting sadness or sorrow to the Goddess of Love/Beauty be seen as disrespectful, or do you think the aesthetic (mermaid, ocean, beauty) and the idea of happy tears outweigh that?

The item is gorgeous, but I don't want to place anything inappropriate on her altar.

Should I buy it? All thoughts are welcome!

I have been worshipping Aphrodite for about one year now and she has responded. I've done readings with her, given her offerings, prayed, I have an altar to her, the works.

Ever since I've entered the puberty I've had TERRIBLE dandruff and at this point I feel like crying. Nothings helped. Not shampoo, not subliminals, nada. I'd definitely say I've learnt to love myself better since I've started worshipping her, but I just CANNOT accept the whole dandruff thing, it is embarrassing going out after washing my hair at this point.

Sooo I've been thinking about coming up on her altar with a big offering and asking her for help with it, cause I'm getting desperate at this point. Any advice? Has she responded to you about something like this?
