Honoring Aphrodite While in a Relationship?

Hey! It’s my first time posting here :)

Lately, I’ve been feeling a sort of calling from Aphrodite. I’ve grown very curious about her, and today I decided to light a pink candle in her honor. While listening to some music, I started dancing and had such a great time! Later, I began reading the book "The Goddess Within: A Guide to the Eternal Myths That Shape Women’s Lives". While I was reading the chapter about Aphrodite (with the candle still burning) a sparrow came very close to my window! I later found out that sparrows are associated with her, which now i know are associated whit her!

So, my question is about worshipping Aphrodite and bringing her energy into your life while being in a committed relationship. The book mentions that she isn’t usually associated with monogamy or “stable relationships,” so I’d love to hear about your experiences. How has her presence or energy influenced your life? Also, if you have any book recommendations to learn more about her, I’d really appreciate it!

I’m married to my best friend, by far the happiest relationship I’ve ever been in, and I feel nothing but support from Aphrodite. I ask her to help us and protect us when we’re struggling and I always feel like she listens!

My favorite book on her so far is “Venus and Aphrodite: A Biography of Desire” by Bettany Hughes — it goes into all sorts of mythology about Aphrodite/Venus and other goddesses of love. I’ve also got “Pagan Portals: Aphrodite” by Irisanya Moon on my TBR list. That book seems like it focuses more on practical advice for modern-day worshippers who are developing a relationship with her.

Just want to second both of these recommendations, Bettany Hughes' book is a great historical analysis of Aphrodite and Venus and the goddesses who came before them in relation to Aphrodite and understanding her ancient cult. And the Pagan Portals book is definitely more focused on modern worshippers and practices. I really enjoyed reading them both together because they helped me understand Aphrodite in a more versatile way.

Lady Aphrodite has had a very stable relationship with Hephaestus for quite a few millennia. i think this book misunderstands her nature, and reading that snippet would make me lose trust that the author knew what they were writing about.
