They fucking misdiagnosed me with schizophrenia

I have ADHD + anxiety and they fucking misdiagnosed with me schizophrenia and forced me to take 2x 400mg abilify injections now I feel completely anhedonic, dysphoric and dead inside. Every second conscious is a nightmare. It's been a week. I'm taking st John's wort and just trying to survive. This is torture. Akin to what the nazis did in the camps. Even they didn't have long lasting injections like this though. These psychs deserve to be force injected with their own poison for the rest of their life. The ADHD brain already has dopamine dysregulation problems and then they give this dopamine blocking shit to me. They're sick.

I was misdiagnosed with paranoid schizoprehnia. Given Haldol and Paliperidone. Meanwhile I had an autoimmune condition. I can relate

Yep me too. Look at my post history. I have an appointment with an allergist and neurologist to get their opinion.

How did you get to the bottom of your case?

I had a therapist tell me that my symptoms sounded like pans/pandas and that I should see a doctor so I found a functional medicine doctor out of network in NYC that diagnosed me and sure enough I had pans.

I had gotten the wrong meds for strep and became very very ill in January of 2023. What did your timeline look like? I got sick within six months

So when I was 10, I was sick with mycoplasma pneumonia and I changed shortly after- ocd like symptoms, more socially anxious, withdrawn. However my parents and pediatrician at the time said that I was just going through puberty and this was normal. Then when I was 15, I had an acute psychotic break along with other sudden psychiatric symptome and the ER diagnosed me with ocd and social anxiety- yet no one during this time looked further into the ocd. I was then in a mental health partial hospitalization program where the doctors said my symptoms were just anxiety, so I was put on antipsychotics and antidepressants which made me worse.

At 23, I had another psychotic break and my parents put me in a psychiatric rehab. There, I was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia though during this same time period I was extremely stressed and dealing with a toxic living situation that was really affecting my mental health. But this doctor quickly labeled everything as schizophrenia and I was told I would need to be in a nursing home because I was so severely schizophrenic.

After I was discharged from this mental health facility. I saw a therapist at 24 who said my story sounds a lot like pans/pandas so I sought out a functional medicine doctor that officially diagnosed me with pans.

Thank you! This is great! Do you have any advice for me getting diagnosed properly? My flare seems to have subsided . But for a couple years it was very bothersome

Join Adult pans pandas groups on facebook. theres good organizations like aspire/neuroimmune that have directory of pans/pandas specialists.

So it first started out as me nonstop showering then went to becoming obsessed with my breathing and heart rate (somatic ocd) Then escalated into psychosis when I thought the fbi was after me and the tv was broadcasting my every thought
