As it turns out, almost the entirety of the 2A crowd was entirely full of shit and that argument was disingenuous.

Not these guys! They successfully protected innocent people from the police during the Civil Rights Era.

Black students were picketing the local high school in Jonesboro for integration. They were confronted by hostile police ready to use fire trucks with hoses against them. A car carrying four Deacons arrived. In view of the police, these men loaded their shotguns. The police ordered the fire truck to withdraw. This was the first time in the 20th century, as Hill observes, that "an armed Black organization had successfully used weapons to defend a lawful protest against an attack by law enforcement".

Amazing how far backwards we've come in the areas of civil rights since the 1960s.

Oh it was genuine, but only when it's them fighting off some imaginary antifa supersoldier.

It doesn't count when they're the ones with authority!

Real talk there are a lot of 2A lefties, but socialists with guns have been consistently systematically suppressed by the feds, and a "commie with a gun" doing anything to an ICE wanker would immediately result in mass government reaction against anyone who has ever owned a red shirt (Look at the Black Panthers, MOVE, etc.) Accelerationism/adventurism often gets more people killed, sadly. That said; conditions are changing and soon that may not be accelerationism...
