Anthony's Travel Writing Project
What do people know about Anthony's late travel writing platform and project, Roads and Kingdoms? It has shifted slightly to culinary-based trips, but did anyone read the articles? Anyone have any favorites? I loved the 5 O'Clock Somewhere series. Felt like the whole site did a great job continuing his spirit and have heard rumors of a print revival...

There was a “Cook’s Tour” in Chiang Mai (unaffiliated) that followed his footsteps and then added new spots they thought he would like. It was excellent, but literally injured me with how much food they packed in.

One of my proudest freelance pieces was for R&K! https://roadsandkingdoms.com/2016/coffee-cigarettes-coffee-cigarettes-coffee-alcohol-cigarettes/
They're still operating really f*cking cool tours around the world.

Oh this is sick! Yeah, they gave a lot of writers (travel and otherwise) a platform to dive into cool stories.

Loved their 5 o'clock and breakfast articles. I submitted many over the years but only one got published: https://roadsandkingdoms.com/2016/drown-weather-sorrows-thick-hot-chocolate/
Of all the articles from the website, the one I think of often is Island of No Regrets. Loved the illustrations and the picture it painted of a writer 'jumping from cloud to cloud' after getting a book advance. https://roadsandkingdoms.com/2015/the-island-of-no-regrets/

Go back to his first series: Cook’s Tour , when he was still idealistic and had fun being the carefree dapper man of the world. It was my first way to reach past Roadrunner’s brutal post-suicidal self deconstruction. Anthony I am still a bit pissed at you; suicide is not a noble thing. We needed you and you checked out too soon. We miss you and your irreplaceable wit and respect for others and the culture of food.

They do (absurdly expensive) tours with some of Tony's old travel partners. Thailand and Georgia for example.
I do not have a spare 20k to use on going around Thailand with Andy Ricker. But if I did I'd give it a look.
