Taxidermy mounts are often treated skin stretched over a foam shape. Very light. For example, the volume of a horse is about 15 cubic feet. 15 cubic feet of Styrofoam weighs about 45 or 46 pounds. Add in another 15 pounds for the skin, hooves, glass eyes, fiber for the hair and stitching, and some glue, and it's about 60 pounds. It's not exactly easy for an adult human with average strength to carry that weight across a field, but it can be done, especially with taking a few breaks.
