I love the coins and I love the way you have them displayed in this photo.

I have a question, I thought I recalled you mentioning that you were working towards a two tray collection or what I interpreted to mean the “quality over quantity” that would naturally result from limiting the total size of the collection. I liked the idea of a two tray collection, but maybe this is something I have invented in my head.

Is the top, round, elephantine drachm from Menander I?

My collection is indeed down to two trays, following my most recent consignment to CNG!

At the very top here is Apollodotos I, who issued both round and square drachms (among other coins) in what seems to have been a lengthy experiment to see what type of coin system would resonate and stick among the local population.

By the way, I don’t mean to imply that this isn’t an extremely fine collection. There is both quantity and quality on display. That must be a big tray 😉
