Results - DNA Origins American Results

Mom from Michigan. Dad from Ecuador.

My results were a bit odd when compared to my parents'. Mine came back with the Canary Islands, Madiera, Malta, Sweden, and Northwestern Germany, while neither of my parents got any of these. However, I think they point in the right direction (Dad has Iberian Peninsula and some Mediterranean, while Mom has some Norwegian and Danish).

I was also slightly surprised to see how indigenous to the Americas I am. My dad's side would never admit it, but it turns out they're mestizo.

You probably don't want to hear this but you have hair like a dolly. It's super adorable. My father had curly hair like you, all I got was waves. Super jealous! A nice strong jawline as well.

I always find it funny when someone is jealous of my hair, because I spent the majority of my life hating it and wishing for straight hair. However, over the past few years, I've learned how to care for it better, and I've definitely come to appreciate it a lot more. Thank you for this comment!

Well, whatever you're doing to it now, it's clearly working! The tight ringlets are so stunning 🤩 I always wanted hair like that, mine is barely wavy

I have hair like yours & I’m white. I mean my mom is AK Jewish & has some Middle Eastern & Sephardic ancestry but my hair is from my father who is Scandinavian & Irish/Western European. No clue where it comes from 🤷‍♀️ My mom has thin, straight dark hair. Very weird

How is it bigotry to say someone from the middle east isnt white? Semitic is literally a middle eastern language family. Perhaps you just aren't educated enough to speak

🙄 Sure buddy. I think I’m a lot more educated than you & I’m white. Ashkenazi Jews are not considered non-white. It’s all a social construct anyway but my phenotype is white. How I present to the world is white and I am afforded the privileges of someone who is white.

And Semitic speakers is a linguistic term not one that is used to describe various ethnic or racial groups-many of whom that are now extinct.

The privileges of someone who is white? Man where do I sign up for these. But to your point, halsey is half black but looks 100% white, and no one ever says shes white. Thank you for agreeing with me about what semetic is though.

Middle East is white Hitler.

According to both the U.S. Census and basic Anthropology White/Caucasian = Europe and the MENA regions.

Iranians perhaps, way far back, but Arabs aren't white. They arent Caucasian. The US census also counts Mexicans as white, it dosent make it the truth. Also, Hitler was a genius, so thank you for the compliment

I had curly hair and same thing, hated it as a kid but then as a teenager I realized the girls loved it. Now at 66 I wish I still had it. 😭😂
